Apparently it’ll be set up similar to how the Jason Universe house was done last year. I just hope that if they do another “gauntlet” then it actually has a little more set design to look at
Here's the thing with the gauntlet, what made that so effective was you couldn't see a flippin' thing until one of the Jasons was right in your face. It's an approach which doesn't call for detailed sets since you're not going to see much of anything when it's properly working. (Yes, you will see the lack of everything if the fog ain't working, but it is what it is.)
Any predictions for what confirmed and rumored houses will be on the unmasking tours? I am assuming Jack & Oddfellow will be on the six house alongside Sinners. I’m thinking the rumored H.R. Bloodengutz house will also be on the six house. I hope a third original ends up on the six house tour but we’ll have to wait and see i guess
Honestly, it's kinda' tricky to pinpoint what house won't be on the tour since the IP's lack the reasonings that the past years had for theirs. My gut feeling is its Evil Dead Burn, solely because I also feel this IP won't be offered as an acrylic stand in for the merchandise carousel.
Now as for what houses will be on what tour, that one is a little easier to predict...but even then, there's some variables.
For the past years, it does feel like they've got a specific spread they like doing with each.
3-house: Sprung 1+2, one of the shared soundstages. (Which has often been 24, though they've flipped on which side they do now and then. Also, they've done 22 in the past!)
6-house: F&F, Sprung 3+4, 22, a house or two in the shared soundstages. (Last year they were in 23 for Wyatt Sicks, and 25 for Terrifier...which is not being repeated as there's no house in 25 this year.)
So if they stick with the same locations, 3-house is going to be original heavy with both Sprung 1+2 and there's a chance of either an original or an IP from a shared soundstage. Meanwhile the 6-house tour is giving a nice mix of big originals (J+O, H.R. Bloodengutz) and big IPs (Sinners, Hellraiser.).
If that's the case, the 6-house tour could be the one to aim for like last year. I know I've got my tour booked since my Mom and Dad are both returning this year and they really wanna' try the 6-house tour this time, and I feel this could be a very good year to do so!
