We're visiting on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend - so I'm expecting it to be very busy.

But who knows, maybe we'll be surprised!

Came here to say the same thing as @Mad Dog, not surprised he said it before me.
Labor Day has always proven fickle to plan around because i've both had clients and seen busy weeks at Disney/Universal on all days myself.
I would've said people tend to use the DAY itself to travel back home if they had off for the holiday and no other days attached, so i'd say that TENDS to be the least busy park day than most would initially imagine. Saturday and Sunday are a toss-up but it's best to expect anywhere from a 3-6/10 crowd level depending on which park you pick. Nothing huge. Nothing crazy. But i'd err on the side of caution with EPIC more specifically, that one is leaning 6/10 for a lot of September based purely on ticket-sales, methinks. Comparatively, the rest of UOR looks easy, breezy (covergirl).

It's all so interesting, because we ARRIVED on Labor Day a few years ago, and it was one of the busiest days I've ever seen at Universal lol

I think I mentioned this, but the Saturday of Labor Day was the most expensive day ticket of the weekend for Epic, but it also had the bare minimum express price.

That's actually, genuinely surprising. In that case: forget everything i've said, good luck, and may god have mercy on your soul.

Price drop for September AP tickets! The date I might go dropped to $91, it was previously $118 I think.

Thanks so much for this info. That was a drastic drop in price from what I paid earlier. What I decided to do was just pay around $50 more and take the credit from my original purchase and now I have two days at Epic Universe. One of those days is that 6pm close on Sept 29, but for the price difference, I feel a lot better about the reduced hours.

Yeah, I’m trying to read into ticket prices (now AP) to see what UO is trying to predict. :lmao:

Can I ask how you done this? Currently on hold to guest services and wondering what to say/whether the international calling charges are worth it lol, but nearly 400 bucks in the difference for us on what we've already booked!

How do they figure the pricing for these days?

For example- why is sept 17 and 18- a random mid month Thursday/friday the most expensive for the entire month?

I just asked if I could apply the credit of my original purchase to adding on another day with the dropped prices. I’m not sure what the other options might be. They might cancel the original ticket and give a refund as long as you’ve purchased a new one. I’m not sure. But I didn’t have any issues with my rep over the phone. It ended up being $60 (not the original $50 I thought), but due to the price drop, I’d much rather add that extra day for a small amount of money as opposed to doing nothing and watch my previous purchase drop around $50. Hopefully they can accommodate whatever option you would prefer

As I said when they had the first few AP discounts in June, I can live with the reduced prices if there's not going to be an AP Epic pass for a while. $90 to $110 dollars is reasonable for Epic....Vicinity of $180 is not. ...I took advantage of the heavy discount price for the four of us in June.

My guess is that the last weekend of rush of fear has become a "hell weekend" of sorts for the resort.

The past two years that particular weekend has been ridiculously crowded, so probably expecting a few of those guests to visit Epic.

Honestly, this tracks

We stayed 9/13 to 9/19 last year

Monday, 9/15 at Epic = busy but not overwhelmingly so

Thursday, 9/18 at Epic = insane

Awesome news!
It could change, but right now I'll be there Sept. 30 - Oct. 5th.
