I think they are looking at early/mid July opening, but blocked the rest of July out incase they come across issues and have to delay the opening a week or 2.

I hope it opens before 1st Oct 2013, I arrive mid Sept 2013 and leave 2nd Oct.

I'm throwing my bet in for June/July, seems the most logical.

 Remember today as the day you found out Transformers will open "by" early of 2014. Holiday 13 if all goes well. Just in time for MK's 7D's coaster.

HP 2.0 on June 7th 2015 (Was told is Universal's 25th Anniversary)

I wouldn't plan my vacation around this at all. I don't think we've EVER seen a time frame this aggressive in any theme park development. Universal is removing a building, building a new one, and putting a massive ride into it in a SHORTER time it took them to put Despicable Me in.

This is madness. And I LOVE IT.

^With the speed that they are rolling at, a 14' opening sounds like a bit of a stretch...

With how secret they're trying to be about it, I wouldn't be shocked for it to be open and them never print it on a map or put it on their website. I love how fast they're moving though; just means I'll need to make another trip to see it when it finally does open.

It'll be open long before 2014. Internal timeline is still June, from a conversation I had the other day.

In terms of AP Blockout Dates, they announce them well in advance so those who are purchasing their AP's now are aware of them in advance as opposed to not being told those dates are blocked out when they purchase their pass. The Power Pass typically is blocked out during July, but in recent years, it has only been at IOA or at both parks. Blocking out USF would mean that they are expecting a huge influx of guests into the park for that time frame, so they are limiting APH's to ensure that they do not reach capacity due to this new opening.

There are only a few things that could cause the park to worry about capacity issues.

JungleSkip, I swear your only reason for being on this site is to vex me. BTW, back on July 4th, no one ever told me that it would be a two story building, they didn't tell me anything about the building's construction. The only additional words I heard from inside UC offices was, "You didn't hear it from me."

Drove by Oceaneering in MD again today. Nothing new, but there are a bunch of their shipping containers sitting out back.

This got me thinking: Can any of the FL locals take a look at what's happening at the Orlando facility? The lift towers were fabricated there. In fact, they were even assembled outside for testing before being shipped.

It would be interesting to see what they're up to.

How in hell do you know that the lift towers were fabricated in Florida? For both Hollywood and Sin-Gah-pouur? (hope I made a few of you giggle)

^Because they were. (I have sources, while I can't reveal them here.) Yes, for both USH and USS. They were surrounded by stacked containers to hide them outside while testing was going on.

Anybody willing to take a Sunday drive down there?

So, the vehicles are manufactured in Maryland (or whatever midcoast state that was) and yet the towers were created in Florida. "Life is a queer and deceptive man Kitty..."

I'm not quite sure why they're built in separate places. Perhaps it has to do with the size of the facilities? It appears that the rented MD facility may barely be large enough to handle a fabrication project like this, hence why the lift towers are built at the FL facility. Maybe it's to split resources so that each location can go about the business of the other divisions of the company?

That's what I'm here for.

And my source is iron clad on this, or I wouldn't be this assertive with it.

I think that your reasoning is probably accurate. I was merely joking that you know so much about the Spider-Man ride systems. I cannot imagine that anyone else on here know such details. So, please know that I really appreciate your info and I am sure a few others here do as well.

Success! (Shakes both fists in the air.)

I guess it's no wonder how I got my screenname.

Anyways, is this thing open yet?
