IOA has finally been suffering from age when for a long time it was the new hot park in Florida. Other than Potter, nothing has changed since opening day 1999.

Oh no doubt they aren't gonna add anything unless if it's either a retheme or something brand new on its own. Like they'll probably never update cat in the hat with new AAs and effects until the new illumination movie comes out (SHAME). I wish universal was like the Disneyland team in someway where they go back to older attractions like BTM and Alice then just fix them up to modern standards without changing the core mechanic of the ride itself. They did it once with Spider-Man and they should look into doing it again with rides like the mummy and CITH. Would be so awesome

Suess could certainly use an Alice type makeover...there is so much you can do with projection now...same goes for Poseidon..at least they should switch to digital projection and bring the old show back..
IOA was the Disney Sea of 1999 but it has since been surpassed by a lot of other parks..including the one right next door...IOA needs some updating to bring it back up to it's high standards..it is still my favorite park though haha

A little bit of love and a few new attractions will boost IOA back to a front runner for best park in America.

I like all of these ideas...Personally I think LOTR would fit better in with IOA...but they could always pull a Potter and extend the world into another park..
JP certainly needs a non wet attraction and Suess needs a more thrilling attraction...I realized on my last trip that Suess and JP are a pass through for me..

Which is really a shame because they are 2 of the best themed lands at IOA.

Plenty has changed. They got rid of Triceratops Encounter & Island Skipper Tours.

But on a real note other than Storm Force they gave Spiderman an awesome upgrade and opened Trolley Train Ride also re did Poseidon's Fury (making it worse in my opinion).

Nothing has changed...for the most part..minus Potter..

When you look at the Studios you can see what was meant by the statement

If I were the boss, I'd do a giant, unique nighttime spectacular in the lagoon (World of Color quality or better); a few place-making improvements around the park (similar to what they did with Springfield in the Studios)--in Jurassic Park especially, replacing the Trikes with a family-based ride and a flat ride or two; add something major to Seuss (I'd go with the Mt. Crumpit coaster, but a family dark ride would probably be the better choice), and lastly, I'd level the Lost Continent and replace it with something relevant. I'd also focus on improving the quality of the food in the "regular" (non-special) venues, like Comic Strip Cafe, Circus McGurkus, etc. With that, I feel that IOA would be in excellent shape.

I would not be surprised if all of the stuff you mentioned is already being talked about and/or in the pipeline for the next few years..It seems to align with Universal's metamorphosis

Hogwarts Express from IOA already helps make a difference. Hopefully after Kong, Jurassic World is such a huge hit that another attraction there is a no-brainer.

I would doubt it. JP is still a popular area with a great ride and good capacity.

Phil Hettema, who was one of the principal executives during Universals early building surge, describing the success of the Waterworld Show, even though the movie was one of the all time greatest box office bombs, (Hettema) "It convinced me of something I think I always believed in, but I certainly do now. The success of the movie is not what is important. It's the idea behind the movie and how much the public is able to capture the idea in their own minds. WaterWorld was so powerful in its concept that people thought, 'that would be a cool place to go'. Regardless of that, they don't know or care about the story-they are intrigued about going there and we pay off"..(from Universal vs. Disney by Sam Gennaway.

Jurassic world was made with theme parks in mind. No doubt we are getting a ton from that movie

I love how during HHN it's all "ORIGINAL ORIGINAL ORIGINAL!!! NO MORE IPS!!!" But attractions? You want to level the ONE original area in all of UO, POE excluded. Sure we lost a third of it to Potter, but what's left is still fantastic as it always was. I'm really tired of hearing people wanting to scrap stuff for the sake of scrapping stuff, especially when they don't even have a replacement in mind. I'm all for coming up with new ideas and talking about what would be great to add, but that doesn't mean stuff always has to be destroyed. If you don't like it, don't ride it. I'm not particularly into Suess. I have no kids or significant nostalgic attachment to the theme, but I would never say "Let's tear out Suess and put in something cool!" I just walk through it on my way elsewhere. I also understand space constraints, but as Kong is showing us, they can do a lot with a little.
