The Raven, in Animal Kingdom's Asian area near Expedition Everest, would be theme and IP appropriate.

This is just a halfbaked idea thrown together on top of an existing plan to try and get some fanboy money.

Ok, you're mad about them using the IP...what's your opinion on Bubba Gump then? Yeah, it's an Indiana Jones name without a true Indiana Jones "experience", but what difference would it have really made if it was just a generic hangar restaurant? It doesn't matter either way. The name and theme is just a jumping-off point to create something more than just something generic or mainstream (which would've also gotten complained about).

EDIT: Also, getting fanboy dollars? Really?? Because so many people will recognize it as an Indiana Jones theme when they see the name of the series' most popular character, Indiana Jones' personal pilot, who was seen in that 5-second shot and one line of memorable dialogue.

I've never been in a Bubba Gump and don't plan on it. Don't really care about Forrest Gump.

If it was a generic hangar restaurant it would have been a generic hangar restaurant. It would have been the same. This isn't "something more" besides a lazy excuse to tie an awesome IP into somewhere it doesn't belong.

This is what passes for immersive themeing to the pixie dusters.

It's not immersive theming, and I don't think anyone said it would be...it's a restaurant. I don't get what alternative would have been better. Just a plain old grill in a hangar structure? We'rs gonna get a restaurant with cool theming, and some Indiana Jones pictures on the wall. We weren't promised anything more so I don't see what the big deal is other than to complain for the sake of complaining.

Now, if this was a case where we were promised an expansive Indiana Jones area and were given this instead, I'd be 100% feeling jipped about it too. But at the end of the day there's gonna be a place to eat that has cool Indiana Jones references. I still don't see why that makes Disney bad.

Pretty lame, Disney. If anything, I think "Hathaway Browne's Hangar" would be more appropriate since Adventure's Club used to be in that area if an aviator theme is what they're going for.

This is Disney's idea of "themed" food. Cute names for normal stuff.

This just seems odd. Usually if someone does a movie tie in, it is of a place actually seen in the movie. Creatively, this is closer to Bubba Gump than 3 Broomsticks.

I think I would have preferred a Howard Hughes theme.

The AC did not used to be in that area, this is more where RNR Beach Club and Motion were (although I think this was built over the water completely).

The Adventurers Club still stands to this day. How much longer is the question since The Edison is rumored to be going in that spot.

This is a mixed bag. Will the restaurant look nice? Absolutely. But how does this tie in with Indiana Jones? At least with Bubba Gump the food names actually make sense as Forrest and Bubba likely named courses after themselves.

Crystal Skull rock candy with a gummy center for a "brain" would be a pretty cool dessert idea for the menu in my opinion!

Yes, in the comment section.

Good news, there will be special mugs for certain drinks — stay tuned for more details to emerge as the opening date nears later this fall.
