Seth Kubersky tweeted on TP that Universal has discontinued the castle tour that bypasses the attraction on Forbidden Journey...I wonder if that is a signal that they are finally going to add an Express line to FJ?

It would make sense. Given Hulk and Kong will become the new big go-too rides, it makes sense that Forbidden Journey would finally get Express as its reason for not having it (extreme waits) is kinda gone now.

Plus Diagon Alley. I'd get express just for Hogwarts Express (ha) quick boarding.

They could easily do it, the capacity for that thing is insane.

We waited forever for the train the day I was there.

Well depending on how busy it was that day they may not have been running at full capacity, and it's very popular.

It often gets 20-30 minute waits. During Christmas the queue was completely full.

Yeah I've only done HE like twice. I often choose to walk to the other park after seeing the wait time. :ack:

When I've been there it seems like HE is fairly crowded between 1:00 & 4:00, but not too bad rest of the day.

And the last hour of park close for IOA. It's either people trying to make CineSpec or, when USF is open later than IOA, get on some additional rides in the last hour.

Found a video on twitter that shows how bright FJ in Hollywood really is... and it's way brighter then I could've imagined.
Check out @SoCal360's Tweet:

SoCal uses extreme low light cameras, that is not an accurate representation of the light levels in the attraction. See their other videos as example. But... I SEE DEMENTOR HANDS

I don't know why but I just absolutely love all the sounds and noises this attraction makes.

I would think the glasses are reducing the amounts of light as well. Odd that the people being seated didn't appear to have them.

I believe TMs hand them out later on the conveyor belt.

I received the early vector engineering plans for FJ executed in 2007/2008 today. They didn't include the dome screens at all. Interesting to see how much money and work is put into an attraction, only to be redone almost entirely. Kuka was always the plan however.

I heard originally you were supposed to fly by moving staircases and over a model of Hogwarts...in essence, the ride would have been completely practical

^ There was a projection... but it was onto a flat screen. I only saw one at a glance. Otherwise, it was all practical.
