Not gonna lie, it was very dangerous at times.people pushing and shoving, people getting run over, TMs trying to do their jobs practically getting assaulted, etc.

There was really nothing Uni could've done besides maybe close the park earlier than they did. It was just overwhelming.

All in all, I had fun still.

The difference is that the Villains parties were Disney's fault.

This wasn't really on Universal as much as Fall Out Boy just being a huge draw.

Orlando Parks News.com just posted more construction photos of Fallon & F&F. They also posted photos of refurbished pictures on the Shrek building exterior.

But any "big" draw causes that. Kelly Clarkson a few years ago led to people carrying strollers over their heads with the babies still in them. That's when I decided Universal is not the place see concerts. It would be great if they could open the gate by BMG to expedite the exit.

But yeah, theta really would benefit from VIP seating above Monsters and along the edges of Fallon and Despicable Me.

Universal's biggest problem when they have a big name act is the placement of the Music Plaza Stage. It's right along the main drag, near the entrance. If there is a big act, crowds will spill out into the streets, causing chaos.

The bandshell design in itself is a fine one for the way Uni does concerts, but it's in a terrible location.

I guess you didn't go there in 1999. That area was a horror show. It was actually called "the graveyard" and had the most dilapidated unrecognizable movie pieces sitting on what appeared as an inner city basketball yard. It was dreadful.

I know what was there before.

But that still doesn't mean that along the main street of the park is the best place to have an outdoor concert facility that, from time to time, stages huge headlining acts that bring in far too many people for the area.

I kinda hope when Site B gets going, they think about moving concerts over there with an expanded concert yard in a more ideal location and turn the current stage into ride space.

Where would you have put the stage in USF if it was up to you?

I kinda like how the stage is flanked by the coaster tracks and soundstages -- it's "reads" as very Universal: rides and movies.

(Sorry, back to topic.)

There really is no other place in USF due to sound ordinances and the apartments next door. But this is why I bring up Site B ;)

I like the aesthetic of HRRR behind the stage as well, my point is crowds flowing into a main walkway isn't the most ideal design. But then again, the amount of times there's crowds like that for concerts at Uni are few and far between. I'd say on average it happens 1, maybe 2 times a year. Sometimes not at all.

The MiB plot would make a great Concert Field. And would hold a lot more people than Music Plaza.

I know this is Jimmy Fallon but would it be possible to change it to a Lonely Island ride instead?

That'd be a sure fire way (as if it isn't already with Fallon) to secure Timberlake.

It may be just a tad inappropriate though for the younger audiences...
