I'm just deciding whether to renew UOAP or wait. Won't be back in town until March and then the following September. If I renew now I get only trip out of it plus possible AP rate for March, if I wait I'll get both Trips next year but no AP hotel rate plus it will be st at least $120 more.

Not sure if outs worth living in the rate now or wait d's get a new one in March.

I always wrestle with the same dilemma.

Did you go through the entire labyrinth like standby queue or did you do the shorter single rider or Express line that kearnes went through?

Pay attention! You won't see the good stuff if you do express or singles. You won't see poop in singles.

So basically you're saying the AA's, sets and the scare actors are in the stand by queue. How intricate is the queue. I remember you saying it was pretty long in the past? I love a great queue. Often, I won't use my hotel express (case in point Mummy, ET) and I'll go through the regular standby queue. As I've said many times before. A great queue is as important to an attraction as the ride itself.

If these actors get removed it's because some jerk punched one, a la HHN25. I imagine they'll be posting more warnings outside the queue similar to what they have for the walk through haunt at USH.

I think the queue is a very strong part of the experience. A strong 49%. Important audio will be piped through the Express queue, but there's a lot of world building in the regular queue that really helps you understand where you are and what to expect on Skull Island.

Same goes for the ride in full show mode. TM's had to go through what's known as "bypass mode" about an hour in to the preview due to impeding weather, which forces the vehicle to skip the outside portion of the queue and start right in the caves. You only miss a minute and some exposition, but bumping outside through the jungle and seeing the gates open as you pull up really does get you excited for what's coming up and is a perfect #UniversalMoment.

So besides the Kong AA, what AAs are in the actual ride?

The queue is pretty long and highly detailed. Lot's of rooms with different surprises. It's an attraction to itself. Especially the witch AA room. My only critique is the queue and the ride seem to be two completely different attractions and two completely different stories.

The 3rd bat was really cool and seemed to be the most complex movement wise.

Where would you rate this against the other Universal attractions?

If I were to compare the queue I would say its most similar to the Mummy but much scarier and darker. The attraction in my opinion ranks above Gringotts, but probably just below Spiderman and Forbidden Journey. The quality of the projection in this attraction is unmatched by any other attraction in Orlando. It is spectacular.

The best seats are in the middle right of the row towards the back.

I can live with that...Universal really has been its own competition as of late...If this is better than Gringotts I'm sure it is a home run

The worst seats are on the left sides. Not just because of the Kong AA but because of the 2nd main scene inside the temple.
