I believe June 1st is the target grand opening date, while early March is the target completion and beginning of AP and guest previews.

Exactly, I wouldn't make reservations until late May.

They've planted a bunch of palm trees and stuff between the entrance complex and Adventure Way.

What is odd is that I cannot stand magnolias and they have planted a few of them there. But I am curious about a few of the palms. Some of them look like royal palms (the palms that line the avenues of Lauderdale and Palm Beach.)

I wonder if they will use a similar method to this:

Fortunately, Universal has great road infrastructure, so disruption should be minimal.

Magnolias grow quickly and screen well with their dense leaves all year. All the parks seem to use them for berms and other screening.

This was awesome to watch. I love the driving rainstorm towards the end. Very cool how quickly they worked and the number of trucks bringing in dirt. It's like OCD Highway Building.

The one thing I'd like to stress to people who haven't seen this thing in person yet, is that the Volcano is SO much bigger than the pictures in this thread even suggest!! It's an absolute icon in the making, I cannot wait to be back and see it finished.

Don't know if this has been discussed but are there supposed to be any show scenes inside the volcano? Will the tubes be transparent or open once inside? I imagine some lava here and there. Something to make this stand out from typical water slides.

Screenz inside the volcano. That's a scary thought.
