Disney didn't add a whole heck of a lot for a long time. Filler nor headliners. But TSMM is a filler attraction and is, quite frankly, the laziest screen based attraction there is. Even beating out Shrek, which is saved merely because of the preshow.

I think the thing that disappoints me the most about TSMM is that we had ridding it during passholder previews and the run ride had some kick to it going around the corner between screens....not as crazy as UNI first went with Cat in the Hat, but still more fun than what (I imagine was caused by) the snowflakes demanded or something.

No doubt I expect it to be a hit with the GP, but it will do very little to interest any of us imo.

You'd be surprised at how well the GP can smell a turd. They may not articulate it well but statistically it shows.

I say it will be a hit with the GP, but at the same time, if i'm walking in blind (no theme park knowledge) and all I know is that I heard there's a new F&F ride, i'm expecting something... well FAST and umm... FURIOUS. Then going in and riding what they are building, I just feel like there's going to be a lot of people coming off and asking themselves "what the hell did I just ride?"

I thought Fallon would be a miss with guests, but I think the queue saved that ride. I don't want to act like I know the GP again and say they won't like it, but that's just how i'd feel if I was walking in blind.

Let's not forget... no matter which way you enter the park.. if you're doing it in order as some do, you've already hit Minions and Fallon before reaching this, maybe even Transformers too. From the other side, Simpsons, Gringotts, possibly T2. Screen fatigue for the day will make this really difficult to impress. If they've already done Kong, forget it.

Yeah, it's a mess...The only saving grace would be if it had some practical stuff before the 360 scene

I honestly don't expect this to even impress the GP. Like UNIrd said, it's likely going to be the 4-5th screen ride several people do throughout their days, meaning that fatigue will definitely sit in by then. Plus, I think even non hardcore fans would imagine a Fast and Furious ride as being something like Test Track rather than... whatever the hell exists now.

I literally think like @shiekra38 said.. other than the practical stuff before, the only saving grace would be smaller ride vehicles like Test Track. Capacity be damned. Wait's virtual anyway.

I feel the fact that people usually do both Islands and Universal is also a factor to rule in here. People most likely would be riding Kong and F&F in the same day, and if the movements/tricks are too similar, it's going to feel like a "done before' attraction. Not everyone is going to ride both in the same day, but a lot will.

Ooooh, I love the grit, grime and rust added to the off-white warehouse building! Excellent faux finish work!

I'm a little confused about the rider entry/exit plans for this. Is the official ride entrance staying at the old Disaster building or being moved to the new building with the stencil signage? If it's staying at the old Disaster building, won't the signage confuse guests?

The entrance is where the new graffiti marquee is now. The exit, I believe, remains the old exit area.

It looks to me that the new ride entrance will be the stenciled building, old site of Beetlejuice. The exit may very well be the same old Disaster exit.

The old Disaster entrance is being walled off and could very well become a larger outdoor food stand and/or gift shop... but it does not look like it will be the new ride's entrance to me.

Regardless of what we think of the ride at least the show building fits the area nicely. Silver lining people....

Unless things changed from the original plans, the Entrance is the stenciled building and the exit looks to be the old Disaster queue entrance.

Should I bring up Omnimovers, Boat Rides, and Circle Visions or let this one go? Guests don't care as long as you give them a different story to tell. It's the same reason you can have 5 steel roller coasters in an amusement park.

Those plans are the ones submitted to the water district and are a few years old. Before the Virtual queue fad started. Who knows what all has changed.
