Disneyland Paris Resort

This is the year to go, 25th anniversary and a few upgrades to see. I going over in about 6 weeks time and I'm looking forward to it more than my last few WDW trips.
Probably because I've overdone WDW in the last few years and not be to Paris in six.

Should be a good trip, spending the weekend in London (might do a Harry potter movie sites walking tour) before taking the Eurostar direct to DLP on the Monday. Staying Five nights at the newley renovated Newport bay club also looking forward to trying Walt's restaurant for the first time.

Also taking a day trip into Paris.
The French economy will receive a real boost after 5 plus nights of drinking tours. ;)

is the eurostar a better option than flying or ? And where would be the best place to stay inside or outside DLP ?

I've always flown or driven via the ferry but eurostar was the cheapest option this trip no driving or airports is a bonus too. straight from st pancras to DLP in less than 4 hours.

Staying on property is pricy but I prefer onsite, that goes for any resort really, but cheaper hotels are available offsite some being only a 15 to 20 mim walk from the parks.
here are a few partner hotels, off the top of my head these are within walking distance or a 10 min free shuttle...
Explorers, Dream Castle, Magic Circus and Kyriad

Try looking around the val d'europe area too, cheaper hotels only a train stop away.

I did lot of research on pricing and ended up using these guys http://travelmagical.co.uk/ as they were the cheapest I could find, including booking separately.

Paid approx £600pp for the Eurostar, 5 days park passes, half board plus and 4 nights at Newport Bay Club (yacht club would be the WDW equivalent) this hotel just had a renovation and moved up from 3 to 4 stars.

Other costs were train from Derby to london £18.50 each and same for the return. also paid £20 for express baggage, this means your luggage is taken from the train to your hotel so from the train at DLP you can go straight into the parks.

And I got a bargain £36 a night to stay in London. hub by Premier Inn really small rooms but with everything needed for a short stay in the center of London, we chose kings cross as nearest to st pancras international

Below is a copy and paste of my costings spreadsheet, hit me a pm with an email if you would like the proper spreadsheet, happy to post here as might help other but couldn't figure out how or if I could post an excel file (is this possible?)

Other than the Kyriad all hotels are on- site and include park tickets, train and meal plan prices also listed, pricing is for two people. prices correct as of January 2017.

We are staying at NBC a couple of weeks after you for 4 nights. We last went in December '13 and July '16, both times the place was either rough around the edges, or all fenced off for refurb!

I was pleasantly surprised by the prices with Eurostar, we're taking it from Ebbsfleet, with an overnight down the road for a bargain £25!

that is a bargain !

That is indeed a bargain, you're tempted aren't you ? ;)

Tempted as I am i have 0 monies and no avail holiday until Jan next year.

S'all good man, you're gonna have a blast at your 1st HHN, to be fair i'd rather be doing that than DLP but I'll have to wait until 2018 for my HHN fix so DLP it is.

I'm moving to the UK so I can start getting better rates for MK France & Orlando. We'll get a flat next to you & Samantha. Here comes the Ugly Americans. :)

The house across the road is for sale

Once we get Paris out of the way we will start looking at our 2018 Sept trip, we have a weeks DCL booked but nothing else yet so will be in touch so we can get our HHN dates married up . Just booked Italy for a week in May too.

Good. Just PM me when you get to the booking point. We held off this Fall so we'll have enough vacation days for next Spring and to be able to hook up with you & Samantha & Dave (Disneyhead) in Sept. 2018.

Will do, no plans down yet but will do HHN and maybe stay at aventura and portofino. Will do at least a 3 week trip tough and maybe take a tour down to Miami as Sam has never been. How long do you usually go for in Sept?
