Perhaps they may try to fit the new maze location somewhere in the back lot?

The thug is, Terror Tram is only open until 11 and then they lose that capacity. If they were to put two houses there, they would be able to maintain that capacity all night long. Terror Tram just isn’t that big of a draw anymore. It’s gotta go.

The thing is with a good concept TT can work. The problem is last years concept just didn't work. It was just like walking through living dioramas. The Hollywood Harry motif allowed you to suspend disbelief and think that these clowns are actually there to hurt us. This caused some good scares.

Titans just seemed like let's watch Jason kill people, let's watch Freddy kill people, you get the point. Combine that with the lack of space and crowd and it was horrible.

Honestly, since the introduction of the use of the Metro Sets, the TT has always been somewhat of a dead mark for me, regardless of 2016 having a fantastic TT.

IMO: I believe that the only way Terror Tram could possibly redeem itself and maintain a freshcut, unique image is if they only theme it with original concepts. The imagination of the creative time is infinite; utilize nightmarish monsters, terrifying creatures, and horrendous beasts. Have them run amok in the back lot. The main problem with pushing IPs into the terror tram is that they can feel really awkward there. Last year was definitely a testament to that, as it was basically abnormally huge Chuckys, a montage of Jason kills, multiple Freddys, and Leatherface stunts we've seen already. Even the Purge and last two years of the Walking Dead on their felt stale. It's already challenging enough having to work with sets aligned with famous films (Psycho and WotW), but having original themes can put the guests in a feeling of nervousness of what to expect.

IMO that’s what makes TT not work is the fact that they have to fit it to the sets that are already there. Hollywood Harry worked because his backstory made it make sense why he was there, so unless they bring him back as an icon(please do!) or give TT a fresh concept that flows well with everything then I’m not sure how it’d work. My bet if they keep TT is a Classic Monsters, Original, or a Purge tram(I’m so done with the franchise but Murdy likes it)

I personally don’t want a good Terror Tram this year. I would rather see another house replace it. Yeah 2016’s Tram was fine, but that was the only somewhat descent Terror Tram OF THIS DECADE. They had so many times to redeem it, but they just can’t.

The Terror Tram costs mucho denero to build and operate. Just replace it with a house.

Agreed. I must be in the minority because I thought Terror Tram last year was decent(although Freddy’s section was boring and TCM had a weird layout) but it’d be an ok sendoff to a dying attraction. Plus, the TT area can hold at least another 2-3 houses

So the First Purge is officially to be realeased July 4th.

*sigh* will we ever be spared from its grasp? I swear if it’s the main entrance scarezone again...

Universal Facebook page (studio page) posted a teaser image of “the First Purge” written on a red hat. Can’t post the link as I have a hard time posting screenshots on here.

We’re for sure getting a Purge scarezone. As for houses it seems like we’ve gotten everything except for one maze

*reminder of the speculated maze lineup atm*
- IT
- Stranger Things
- AHS Asylum or Cult
- The Thing
- Halloween
- Trick r Treat
- The Walking Dead
- Unknown

Is anybody else worried we may get The Purge over The Thing to save on budget?

Nah. Murdy is still doing stuff but he’s not the CD anymore. He lives in Ireland now. Only way I could see that happening is if we lose the rights to It or something.

They could always change up TWD and put a Purge overlay in it. If they could get AMC to do that (which I would be floored if they got away with that), than I wouldn’t complain one bit. It’d Be a lot better than just having it the same.

I doubt(or at least hope it wouldn’t happen) that’d happen. If they really do plan on going all out this year they’ll need to do Thing over Purge since it’s a new property and is highly requested

Just curious if anyone knows. Considering how we seemingly lost the opportunity for The Conjuring, what are the chances we may end up not getting IT for similar reasons?

I think the only one that could happen is if Stephen King throws a fit about IT. Conjuring seems like a hard property to get since there’s a ton of legal work involved i.e. Lorraine Warren, using the houses design(which was an actual lawsuit since the owners of the house from the first movie sued Warner Bros), and possibly even more stuff.

I only ask because I feel sort of Déjà vu from last year around this time before the leaked lineup and even when we weren't sure about WW maze. We all assumed properties that we thought HAD to come and would be wanted or were hinted at, only for them to focus mainly on returning IPs. I'm not saying that's what I want for this year, but I'm just hesitant that Stranger Things, IT, The Thing, and Trick 'r Treat have any viable chances of being at this year's event. Maybe in the future, but I don't really know. For all we know, IP's that are coming out this year, that a lot of us were bashing, might end up coming as they may be cheaper budget-wise.

Stranger Things was leaked a whileeee ago on the Orlando forums, so just expect at least a %90 chance of it coming. IT was confirmed by The Ifrit, so there’s that too. Trick ‘r Treat and The Thing are basically just speculation and may or may not come, however they’re both highly requested and this year seems to be a fan service year

John Murdy did say that The Thing might be more expensive.
