I honestly never cared to see Michael Myers at all. The character is so one-dimensional and in a house is really boring. Same thing over and over.

Ghostbusters has a lot of potential to be a good house... I fear it gets put in the Shrek location though.

I don't see Universal squandering a potential game-changer and one of the biggest IP "gets" of all time with anything but a soundstage. Most likely routed somehow thru or around the firehouse. Honestly this probably gets top billing over ST. A Walking Dead level push.

Maybe they will do Stranger Things/Ghostbusters combined merch. The kids in their 'Busters gear on a shirt or mug or something. Also, since we live in crazy pop-culture ouroboros times, Finn Wolfhard has been cast in the new GB.

I don't think Netflix will let it get top billing. Probably bill them equally in marketing as their big things.

Based off info given, it sounds like the codename Cotton is Shrek. (Way back it was mentioned Cotton could possibly move, indicating something like Shrek in the chance it was closed for something new.)

An while it's a guess, Legacy is guessing Cotton is a original. So if that ends up true, you don't have to worry about GB being in Shrek.

An with codenames, I also noticed Legacy guessed Pressure as a IP in quotations. So perhaps it's a IP with a original spin here and there a la' Poltergeist? Honestly, that would fit Ghostbusters in giving it a original twist here and there to add more scares. (HoTC and Pumpkinhead are houses which you can essentially do as is, and unless the 5th IP is one you need a original spin...GB is it.)

Ghostbusters sounds awesome like I said before, never heard of Ho1C or Pumpkinhead before they popped up in this thread though. Guess I'll have to watch them soon, do people consider those movies horror classics or are they more cult?

Ho1C and Pumpkinhead are definitely cult classics, although the latter could be called a classic. Ho1C is basically Rob Zombie craziness in full display and is an homage to grindhouse B movies.

House of 1000 Corpses is pretty popular. I would be hesitant to call it a classic and it didn’t do terribly at first, so I wouldn’t call it cult either. It’s adequately popular.

Pumpkinhead is 80’s creature feature, back of the video store in the horror section, cult goodness. The settings aren’t all that revolutionary but the creature and the witch make up for that.

Just a thought about the Ho1C maze, if it is in a tent I wonder if they’ll include any nods to 3 From Hell and Devil’s Rejects. Also the amount of Easter eggs they can fit in the opening room of the Murder Ride gift shop alone should be insane

Both HoTC and Pumpkinhead are definitely cult, with Pumpkinhead dancing a line in the classic territory. HoTC may not be everyone's cup of tea (and personally I find The Devil's Rejects as the better film), however the film is chock full of material for a house. Lot's of distinct locations and striking characters, and I feel it can have a intense finale, especially with it being in a Sprung tent.

Pumpkinhead is straight-up creature feature goodness from one of the greats (Stan Winston), I'm quite happy to see this one come to life.

Catching up on the speculation from yesterday still and I gotta' say I was going to guess Pumpkin Head several days ago but figured it might be too obscure or didn't quite fit with the clues. If Pumpkin Head is coming to HHN I'll be pretty freaking happy! It's a shockingly great movie.

Pretty anxious to get an idea of what that last IP is cause as far as IP’s go it may be my last hope.

It’s been mentioned there’s a 5-5 split, unless something’s changed.

I mean, nothing is “annnounced”. Don’t assume that anything is “locked in” until it’s announced. Legacy has literally said himself that he dosen’t have as much confirming info as before.
