That's not Roman Mythology at all. It's just the Nightingales attacking a bunch of gladiators yelling in Latin... I mean things like the Minotaur, The Hydra, Medusa...

To me this reads like he really just wants to see Hades, not their original creatures against a Greek/Roman backdrop. I can get why seeing the gods and monsters from mythology in a full fledged house would be appealing

Hades was a house I should have loved, but it totally fell flat for me. It had a great beginning and a few decent scares along the way, but I always walked out thinking it should have been better. This coming from a guy who loves his Greek/Roman mythology

I would love a Norse mythology house, but I expect it will NEVER happen. There’s just not enough iconic/relatable creatures they could put in there for the GP. The Vikings last year are probably the closest we will come unless they do an Original concept against a Viking backdrop (Nightingale’s, Body Collectors, The Forsaken, etc)

By the by, I totally understand wanting to see something you missed out on, I still wish I saw Gothic or Dead end and anything before 2009.

Yep. What I fell in love with was what Greek/Roman mythology had... not original creatures. And yeah, sadly, Norse mythology doesn't really have much we can work with. I hope that we can get a house that's much better done than Hades eventually.

It's not that I wish I saw Hades, I just really love the creatures within the mythology, same goes for Cryptids. I really just want to see a house of iconic creatures from tales brought to life by universal.

I mean, I said I wanted a nautical house and we got Depths of Fear so who knows.

If it makes you feel any better, I wanted to see the Nightingales in a Roman setting, but I wanted them on the attack during the eruption of Pompeii. Since they went the gladiator route, I know I am not getting that house any time soon.

That's too bad :C
I am still excited to see what new originals we will see these coming years. I know I wasn't too confident in houses like Graveyard Games, but man did I absolutely love that house. I've started to fall in love with the houses with intense detail.
Though, there are still plenty of houses I wish I could've seen and I do hope we will possibly see in sequel (or prequel) form.

Are there any houses that you guys think could get the sequel or prequel treatment? Some I don't know if it'd work, like with Dollhouse of the Damned. While it is a beautiful house, I'm not sure how they could make a second one without copying it too directly.

Since the rights are allegedly cleared up and it's an anniversary year, I hope for a room with audio of kids just repeatedly saying "Bloody Mary" and then after the fifth time a Bloody Mary boo scare from a fake mirror. Have the kids talking into the mirror be mannequins and an empty window/fake mirror with the scare actor back there ala the Poltergeist bathroom setup.

A little nod to what long time fans have been asking for for over a decade and something simple enough that people not familiar with the backstory would still get it. Think that would fit in nicely with the Boogieman and Tooth Fairy and stuff.

I do as well, if that’s what they were planning.

My biggest concern is they might get rid of like the terra house or dungeon of terror (houses that would only make sense for the 30th) and replace it with more modern IPs

It’ll still be the 30th year of the event.

Recreating DoT in its original form, in addition to not being feasible, is not that exciting to me. I’d like to see a tourist trap setup again but this time it’s a Mystery Spot sort of thing that traps people in a time loop, making them go through the same room over and over.

(Yes I stole that from Supernatural.)

My personal spec on the “Dungeon Of Terror” is that it may just be the Icons-Based house of sorts, but located as part of the Dungeon.

I think that the icon compilation house that TPU mentioned could be Dungeon of Terror

The next time they do HHN is HHN 30. The year is irrelevant.

I think we've all gotten so used to the last digit being the same as the year. You are correct though.

If Bedtime Stories is like what we've been thinking of the last couple of pages, I'm much more interested in it. I was having a hard time thinking of types of stories that are different from fairy tales and holidays (AKA what we've already seen). But I really like the idea of different legends that specifically revolve around sleeping.

Following up on our Hellraiser discussion from the other day...this was just announced, and sounds awesome.

bloody-disgusting.com

‘Hellraiser’ is Getting an HBO Series With David Gordon Green Directing and Michael Dougherty Writing!

In addition to the David Bruckner-directed film that was announced earlier this month, Deadline now reports tonight that Hellraiser is also getting a TV series courtesy of HBO! David Gordon Green (Halloween, Halloween Kills) is directing the pilot and “several more initial episodes,” and Michael...

Honestly I'd be fine with Dungeon Of Terror being used for the icons if they choose to do so, they'd find some way in making it an interesting storytelling experience I'm sure. It was the first house Universal made and I'm sure they'd throw homages to the original house but go a different approach with it being with the icons involvement.

If Hellraiser gets off the ground and especially with David Gordon Green behind it and after success he had with Halloween and soon with Kill & End, I'm sure we could see maybe Hellraiser coming to the event somewhere down the line but I'm sure it will not be an easy ride without some bumps ahead.

Am I the only one who would love a remake of the original People Under The Stairs house? It would be cool to walk thru a recreation of the house from the film, especially if some of the sets/ props remain.

It could play off the commercials with each room representing an icon and their kill scenes. Much like the stages from Icons in 25.

@Legacy is there any rumors that the Terra Queen will return this year or we still just gong off the whole 15 years thing? I’m sorry if it’s been said already.
