As an experienced Floridian and theme park visitor, I read through some of this thread and thought "c'mon, how bad could the lack of shade really be?"

I visited the Toy Story area for the first time last week. It's that bad. It's like the materials amplify the sunlight and heat intensity. The idea of being here in the thick of summer would absolutely peg the 'theme park misery' meter.

The complaints would be minuscule if they just created a themed shade structure between Swirling Saucers and Slinky Dog, along with indoor seating for lunchbox.

Same with Pandora, for the most part its nice and cool in the shade, but it could have benefited from an indoor "always night" (aka knockturn alley) indoor area as well.

They are currently some project around Woody's Lunchbox it would seem, but seemingly either just more outdoor seating or backstage project.

You joke, but they literally did this with tents in Tomorrowland, and it was way more than 15 USD.
And this is actually way more out of the way than those tents were too since it's technically backstage lol. The tents were practically in the middle of the walkway.

Big upgrade over what was in this spot previously:

Yeah, much more thematically in line and just a more pleasant atmosphere to be in. The lighting alone in the previous store was blinding and theming was non-existent.

I do wish that they were building an indoor gift shop for the land that possibly as a small part of the BBQ Restaurant. Just something that people could easily see, be an indoor space, that sells merch. Where's the Al's Toy Barn toy set when you need it?

For those that don't remember, this is what the shop used to look like:

People believe it's going to be extra backstage space for Woody's Lunchbox, which is a shame cause it desperately needs to be more seating for guests.
Tbh, it kinda has to be backstage space given the location. It's immediately behind both the quick service window and the restrooms building. It's virtually impossible to access in a natural way.
