Don’t want to turn this into another spec thread for next year, but I doubt WB will allow Gremlins and they’re shifting the image of that IP into something a little more kid-friendly.

Didn't stop Ghostbusters!

Anyway, back to A Quiet Place: the idea of having an ASL preshow video is fun

It's nice to see Hollywood get a queue video for a house. It isn't as common for Orlando anymore.

As much as I'd love to see more queue videos implemented, especially for the original (or Universal Monsters) houses, it's most likely not realistic in regards to budget.

Also, I'm curious to see how this queue video does because subtitles is definitely a choice

Seeing the puppets/animatronics pop out for their attack scares, it definitely gave strong Stranger Things vibes...

BUT the body & head shape just kept making me fantasize about a Resident Evil house. Those creatures had "Licker" all over them. It's all I could think about.. Send us to Raccoon City Murdy!!!

We definitely need a massive budget RE house that's a "best of" of the whole series instead of being based on any of the movies or shows. The potential is absolutely insane, and there's so much to draw from that you could bring it back several times without it getting too stale.

Well as I've mentioned before, Chris Williams said they wanted it for a day-ops attraction, but TWD was cheaper unfortunately.

And now its AQP with adjacent Lickers lol

It would be cool if HHN kept a quiet place as a attraction and got another house location

Hard Pass. Once was enough, despite the money spent on the fancy tech & puppets.

I don't think I'd ever heard this before but that is so tragic.
I have no idea how it would've hit with the general public as a year round attraction, and realistically it probably would've suffered the same death as TWD, but I wouldve been in there three times a visit.

Finally did this house last night. Only waited 15min, it wasn't worth the 15min wait. I was bored. To me personally, this IP was a complete waste of resources.

The animatronics/puppets aren't that great & just reminds you of going through Stranger Things (which isn't a positive).

Doubt I'll do this house again any other night. This is a total dud for me. Great sets don't save the experience. Sorry, not sorry.

On the positive side, the little bit of indoor queue the house does have, it was nice to see the flickering lights have remained. RIP TWD Attraction

Completely agree. This house is a walkthrough attraction, not a haunted house. It’s a stinker IMO.

Damn lmao. Y'all being so negative. This is definitely my favorite house this year, I don't understand the hate!!! I've had nothing but great runs of it so far

Nothing negative about it at all. It wasn't a "bad run-through", it was fully staffed & saw all the scares. Problem is, it was a boring experience that lacked energy and/or creepiness.

The sets are well done (for the most part), but even the animatronics/puppets they spent money on leave something to be desired. One that pops out doesn't even have arms. It's just an upper body torso, which kinda killed that "scare", also the "attack strobe" was too bright resulting in being able to see the "arm less" torso completely. A lot of these puppets are also so visibly exposed (instead of being in a boohole) that it removes any chance of a scare, unless you're an easy scare.

It's great that you enjoy this house, but nice sets & expensive puppets don't "wow" everybody. For some of us, it's a "one & done" house because it has no way of improving due to its restricted narrative.

The only possible thing that could salvage this "walk-through attraction" is to turn off the main show lighting to be nearly pitch black resulting in not seeing any of the creatures until they "attack".

Another thing that kills this house for me is the SFX!!! Having it be dead quiet and triggered like Orlando does would have been perfect. Its length does it no favors. It’s just a very “safe” and boring house. I’m glad you’re a fan @saint.piss , but considering the HHN standard of quality, it’s really just a bummer for me.

AvP depended a lot on puppets and animatronics too, and that house KILLED it. This doesn’t even come close to touching something like that.

Yea this definitely feels like a walkthrough attraction, wonder if it gets better or worse as the event goes along.

Honestly, not sure how it can "get better", due to its restrictive concept. Unless they make it "dark" resulting in "surprise scares" instead of visible.

Worse is easy, the puppets/animatronics break & become static "Disco Yeti's"

They've done some changes to cover some of the mechanics of the Angel like the one in the barn

Good to hear. That was my biggest complaint about this house.

I don't see how they didn't see it as a problem before opening. They're all so visible as you enter any room. They're not even angled or positioned well. They should've cut off the legs of most of them and made a large portion of them costumes instead of puppets or animatronics. It kills any spontaneity in the house.

I just did the lights on tour today that was for the AP holders. It was great to see all the little details in the house. As a surprise they had two puppeteers operating a couple of the puppets. Both got me pretty good as I did not expect that….but what’s sad is that I got scared more during the lights on tour than the normal HHN hours house as I expected neither time to happen. Sad. But the house is still cool to look at though.
