Park Pass broke it first by noticing the drum sticks on the signs

I didn't get a survey but the new Annual Passholder Facebook group seems to be a way for Universal to know what perks Annual Passholders want and such (a.k.a. plastic passes).

It's good to see them trying to balance out the parks. They could use more shows imo.

I would not count on many traditional stage shows showing up in the future. Maybe one or two.

As long as Bill and Ted have a sizeable area I'm ok with less "stage shows" and more street experiences. I think 1 stage show in each park is fine as long as it's well done. I'd love to see Beetlejuice completely reimagined as anything other than a rock show.

The new show is going to be named "Beat Builders". The stage for it is already set up across from where Beetlejuice is. Its street show with a similar stage set up to Blues Brothers in terms of guests standing along a path to watch the show. The actual stage is multiple levels high. Could someone snap a few pictures of it?

Also, should this show get its own thread?

Beat Builders, the a capella show in New York, stunters in Sting Alley, and some food truck show(?) in San Fansisco all start today.

Ok, so these new groups like Sing It have nothing to do with the upcoming Pitch Perfect show I take? Pitch Perfect will be bigger and with audience seating?

No, this is it. It would seem these new street shows are meant to distract guests from the walls about to go up.

So that new stage masked as a construction zone (between NY and SF) is for a new show?

A "Stomp"-esk show on the scaffolding. Hopefully there will be videos up soon enough.

OU is retweeting short videos on twitter. Don't kill yourself trying to see them.

So apparently the food truck show is an improv hip-hop show or something? I'm still shaky on the details. And I'm not sure what's going on with this Sting Alley tumblers thing. I've heard it's happening, and I've heard it's not.

The Sing It show is a pretty solid combo of the show and a capella music. I only saw a small snippet, but the crowd was engaged.

Beat Builders, which I saw in its entirety, is about as hokey as you'd expect, but definitely drew a crowd. The parts with the drummers on the construction equipment are better, IMHO, because you can see everything, as opposed to when they're on the street and there's nothing to see if you're not in the front.
The other major thing I noticed is how, when they're playing without backing music, I think it's better than when they have music piped in. It sounds too much like they're backing the recorded music instead of the other way around.

The clips I've seen from Sing It and Beat Builders look pretty good. Nice distractions for people.

Besides, there's not really anywhere to put a full, seated show.

These are being done to distract people from the plethora of walls going up over the next 6-8 months in USF. IoA doesn't have the same level of construction going on.

Well, I am pleasantly surprised to hear this. Perhaps I underestimated its popularity.

Was Stomp the show at Epcot with 12-20 people beating on metal things? What a racket they made. :blank:

You're thinking of the Jammitors. There's only 3 of them and they're still around.

Stomp inspired both of them though. Stomp (theatrical show) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
