It would probably still be 2028. Based on the concept art it looks like the DCA ride will pull heavily from the first movie.

Although someone over on WDWMagic speculated that with rumors swirling of an animation courtyard replacement being fast tracked, what if it was Coco? The same poster armchair imagineered a land with the same type of boat ride from DCA coupled with the BBTM proposal from D23 2022 that involved us flying on the back of a Banshee.

Yep, this shouldn’t come as a shock. And it shouldn’t surprise anyone either when this makes bank. Because judging by the box office performance of Kung Fu Panda 4, Inside Out 2, Despicable Me 4, and Moana 2, this is just giving the people what they want.

It still boggles my mind that they still haven't made a Monsters Inc 2. This, Incredibles, Toy Story, Inside Out, Finding Nemo, Cars... all of those got sequels. I know we got Monsters University but I want a PROPER sequel. We're about to get a land for this IP at DHS so where's the sequel for that???

Curious what a Coco sequel will entail considering the original movie seemed pretty much a one & done type story.

This is my reaction as well, even though Coco is one of my all-time favorite Pixar films, as others have mentioned, it's a pretty self-contained film. It's just not one I'm clamoring for a sequel, especially since one would have some massive shoes to fill.
