Looks wise, Dark Universal easily eclipses Potter. But I do think Potter will come out on top ride wise over Monsters Unchained with Battle of the Ministry, which sounds like a ROTR killer hands down.

Funnily enough, I think Darkmoor itself looks pretty dull and not quite Hogsmeade-level. But the landmarks, like the Tavern and the Manor, make it all worth it.

Oddly enough, I think it will be very Hogsmeade-ish. Village in the front, Kuka Kastle attraction across from a small family coaster in the back. But this time black, with fog, and a blood well in the village square.

That is way more fire than I was expecting from the windmill. Wow. Will they sell marshmallows and toy wooden pitchforks in the gift shop for making s'mores?

Epic Universe seems to be a park of....hearing a idea and then seeing it fully fleshed out as good as it was in your mind if not better

I'm very excited to see how they handle the dragons now...just everything i see about this park makes me wish this was just the current standard and not an outlier for current theme parks

This park is doing so much at opening I’m already fearing how in 2-3 years a lot of stuff goes away. I hope that’s never the case though.

It’s inevitably the case — that’s just how it goes. That’s why I want to be there at opening month no matter what.

When it comes time to use the expansion plot at the rear of Dark Universe, it would be great if they used the limited space left by building a stacked show building for two attractions.

For the lower attraction, I'd be happy with a Creature From the Black Lagoon boat ride that doesn't require massive sets, but rather uses tight, compressed spaces and darkness to create suspense (I went on a kayak tour of a Key West mangrove swamp that was very tight and would be great inspiration). I never went on Disney's Extraterrestrial Alien Encounter but perhaps the kinds of sensory effects of that attraction could be implemented within boat seats/ride vehicles to make it feel like you are under assault while venturing into the swamp. A few drops in the dark would be great.

For the upper attraction, I'd like to have a "classic family dark ride" based on Dracula, with suspended ride vehicles similar to Peter Pan's Flight but with some exciting suspended-coaster type drop moments as you swoop down out of the dark into a village. Like Peter Pan's Flight's London, if love to fly over a model of a scale village before flying down through the streets. (You would load the building at ground level and fly up to the second floor show building area, swoop through scenes, then dive down at the end to get back to ground level.)

The two-level show building -- which would be taller than most show buildings and probably similar to Guardians Cosmic Rewind but stepped back like a wedding cake -- would have a rugged mountainous rockwork facade (similar in scale to what Cars Land at Disney California Adventure has). It could have an icy snowcapped feel to add a chilling vibe and likely be distinctive from the mountains which will be behind Disney's Villains Land.

Here are some images of the two level show building and rockwork.

I know the two things aren’t at all related but is anyone else even more hyped for this land after seeing Nosferatu or is it just me?

It looks like they have two different sized seats. Does FJ have that?

One may be the "big boy" modified seat to accommodate.

I am really excited to see the interior queue for Frankenstein. Hope they add a ton of atmospheric elements. Darkened windows with lightning strikes, lights flickering and wires sparking. Maybe some shadows (monsters roaming the manor) down long hallways.

Thinking back on the classics of Haunted Mansion and Pirates one the the best things was the themed queue. I haven't ridden Pirates in over 30 years but if I close my eyes I can still hear the music, smell the water and feel the cool damp cave air.

I wonder if the queue will have any characters or animatronics. even if it's a villager or something simple

Supposedly, the queue will have jump scares of some kind.
