We'd never get that for Super Silly Fun Land. Attrociously bad capacity, and not child/family friendly, which I'm sure is their main goal. And if we get a ride like the one in the video but not wild, then it's gonna seem kinda pointless, since Kuka Arm rides are supposed to be exciting.

But I'm not gonna shoot it down just yet. I can't afford to be picky, i want SOME sort of flat ride!!!

It is an interesting way to use the Kuka arms though. I don't imagine them leaving them for rot.

They could just reuse the arms from Fast and Furious for the effects in Potter.

True, but do you really think they'd put in a crazy Kuka arm ride in Super Silly Fun Land of all places? Like, that would work in the movie, but with USH trying to bring more families in, that's the LAST thing they need. It would be more intense than even ROTM...

I saw the side of Despicable Me as I got to park in Frankenstein. The queue line from T2 is still there but the roof/ceiling painted light blue. The neighborhood is essentially the facade for the queue area.

Well that's a let down. I would've hoped they took advantage of the extra queue space and have us enter Gru's house from the get go. Especially since they added the beautiful facade. Oh well.

That's good news for me as a Horror Nights fan. Even though they can't use it this year, they can still use it two or three years down the road again as a maze venue. Next to the sound stage, that was HHN's best venue.

A Kuka arm ride sounds interesting.  I am afraid we may see an attraction only meant for kids and be our version of Pteranadon Flyers!  ugh.

I went to the park today and finally saw the facade with my own eyes. It's looks good in pictures, but it looks great in person. Can't wait until it's finished.

Map art has already been released, and it looks like the gift shop will be called Super Fun Stuff:

I was just at the park for an hour today and Gru's "car" is already parked in the garage. I'm eagerly awaiting this ride for soft opening soon.

Universal sets date for Despicable Me 3 (and new Grinch movie). I hope the Minion spin-off and the third movie will be just as good or better than the second.

I also really have to wonder if Universal will update Minion Mayhem at all in anyway eventually. Minion Mayhem, if I'm not mistaken, is set right before the second movie, so by 2017, there will have been three more movies that take place after the ride or provide more content. I just really hope that Universal will eventually update the ride like Disney did with Star Tours and make it a randomized experience to keep it fresh.

Very true, but Shrek also doesn't belong to Universal. With the mega hit that Despicable Me is for Universal (and with them owning it), and with it actually being a RIDE and not a show, and with technology eventually being even more advanced in the future, I think Universal will be very smart to update Minion Mayhem eventually. At least to make it a more randomized experience, which in our landlocked park would be brilliant.
