Genuinely embarrassing stuff. Destroying small towns and the environment all in the name of killing art for a quick dollar. I'm exhausted.

This really feels like one of the stupidest decisions they've made in a long while, and that's saying something.

From a raw cash standpoint this is equivalent to 5 John Carters, a deci-Snow White, or if we're keeping Warner Bros in mind with the current entertainment landscape - 15 Wild Wild Wests.

Truly a monumental self own.

Really cannot overstate how much I hate the timeline we're in with regards to large creative companies essentially beginning a process whose logical endpoint would be the wholesale disposal of human creativity in order to squeeze out ever diminishing profit returns, and which will not ultimately work in their favor long run.

This is such a frustrating decision, but it's indicative of a much larger problem with creative companies in general at the moment. Everywhere you turn this is pushed as an answer to all problems, and when you bring up the shortcomings you are labeled a Luddite.
Glad to see most here recognize it for what it is.
