The drone shows at Disneyland Paris just get increasingly more intricate:

A poster on ThemeParx says he has seen Imagineering walking around the main DLP park quite frequently in recent times, and others are claiming to have seen concept art on the tablets they carry around.

If this is true, it's glad to see Disney is still considering some sort of expansion to the park when all the attention has been on fixing up what will become DAW.

Good. This park has been treated as the red-headed stepchild for far too long.

Is Buzz really the last new ride Disneyland Paris received in 1998?

Go onto any Disney site where they rank all the parks, any many will say the Paris DL Park is hands down the most beautiful castle park.

While it's great Disney sounds like they want a major expansion to come to DLP park proper somewhere in the ten year parks plan, this still seems like a ways off. Earliest any expansion for this park would be announced would be D23 2028, but considering how much Paris gets the shaft at D23 Expos, I could also see D23 2030.

My hope for the former D23 would be whether or not Disney wants something big at the resort for the 40th anniversary in 2032.

Depends if you count the updated Star Tours.

They had to plow so much money into rebuilding the existing rides over the 2014-2020 timeframe to bring them up to par that after that plus Studios plus the hotels plus Disney Village still being straight out of the 90s, they had about five euros left for expanding the main park.

This ties into the above post, but another WDWMagic poster claims its an open secret 3 of the 4 lands at DLP have various plans at different phases of development ranging from blue sky to shovel in the ground ready. But the issue is funding. Paris has to wait its turn (which is not easy considering Disney gives it the shaft vs WDW and DLR) and by the time DLP can get funding the IPs their plans involved are no longer hot and have to be sent back to the drawing board and the process repeats...

Paris' problem is that it's never been very profitable and fell far behind with the previous ownership. Would it have done better with some new attractions? Maybe. But there's fundamental problems with the location, cast member indifference, strong competition from some real good European parks. Northern France was probably a bad choice to begin with. Park beauty can only take you so far. DLP might have done better with a smaller entire resort hotel footprint and only one park, instead of two.

Unlike Americans, Europeans have a lot of vacation weeks and money needs to be spread over that period. A theme park visit was "just a day of fun", nothing more or less and shouldn't be too expensive. DLP is very expensive and that is what I hear from most visitors in my country. It's not like "it's expensive but worth it", it's more like "we went once with kids and feel ripped off and are never going back again". Sure there are exceptions but Disney nor DLP holds any magic for Europeans with it's diverse architecture, cultures and local theme parks that fit our culture like (for instance) Efteling.

Love that DLP continues to get so much love. I'd love to see a timeline of expected completion of all these projects.
