I used to have an AP, but when the pandemic hit and the rebooted their AP program to be reservations only, I opted out. I am not paying $500+ for something I may barely be able to use! If I'm only able to go two, maybe three times out of the year, then that's about the same price as the cheapest pass anyway! At least by going far few times I can pick which day I want to go! But there are still people thinking that putting down that much money for a pass that they can't even fully use is still a good value.

I'm just baffled with these Diznoids. How on God's green earth can these people afford to go all the time? Surely there has to be a point to where people are gonna be like "Ya know, I can't afford this anymore"? I mean I like Disneyland don't get me wrong, but I think Disney has really overestimated their value....especially with how the quality of the parks have noticeably gone downhill.

$206 for one day AND Genie Plus ON TOP OF THAT AND PARKING (Which you know will go up) is just criminal. Is this funding going to fix the downward state the parks are going in right now?

We went with my mother on Sunday. I believe the cost for a 1-day park hopper + lightning lane was something like $275 a person? The total was around $825. That's before parking and meals.

We had a terrific time because we rope dropped, and I know how to leverage the lightning lane system. Leisurely did all of the headliners with little to no wait (longest wait was Rise in late morning -- posted wait 60, actual wait to Rey, 25). Most of the rides looked good to great, but service has absolutely cratered. Disney employees aren't paid enough to care, so they don't. All sorts of behavior you'd never see even six or seven years ago.

One gets the sense their new priority is to protect the company and its optimal profits, not facilitate a positive guest experience. No one is empowered to make a guest's day better or right a wrong since the little magic touches are now paywalled.

A good example is our River Belle Terrace dinner. We made a reservation for 7pm but were not interested in the Fantasmic dining package. We checked in for our reservation at 6:50pm and assumed we'd wait about 15 minutes, as they appeared busy. We were not called and subsequently seated until 7:30pm, and that was only after I inquired with the host stand twice. Both times, they acted annoyed I was asking and insinuated their priority was on seating Fantasmic dining guests on the patio. So, apparently, our time didn't matter because we didn't pay extra. Once finally inside, the food was mediocre for the outrageous prices, and service was substandard, at best. Ended the otherwise very good day on a sour note.

I would highly recommend only eating at Disneyland's most premiere restaurants at this point -- Carthay (we did the pre fixe lunch, which was excellent), Lamplight Lounge, and some of the hotel restaurants like Napa Rose. The full-service offerings in-park have fallen off a cliff.

Additionally, the concern about declining reliability anecdotally seems very true. I've never seen more rides suffering breakdowns.

Disney ought to consider using the funds from the jacked up ticket prices to improve the maintenance on the rides at DLR.

As if you can even get into to those places without reserving 6 months in advance. It's crazy.

I gave up my AP nearly 10 years ago after having a top tier pass for 20+ years, and I haven't regretted a minute without it. I will still get a 1 or 2 day ticket once or twice a year, or maybe a SoCal deal if they offer one. But that's it.

And even then, I'd often rather walk over to GardenWalk for Fire & Ice than eat in the park.

Have they announced if this will still be virtual queue for regular opening? DL would have HMH and Tiana simultaneously for virtual queue until HMH's construction is done.

Paint the Night is my favorite parade hands down. Excited for it's return finally plus the possibility of some new floats and enhancements?

Paint the Night is what you get when you put Mainstreet Electrical & SpectroMagic in a blender. Perfection with nostalgia.

**SpectroMagic was the perfection

I don't know what you've been reading, but I have Enchant and can easily go twice a month. I could technically do more, but 1-2 times a month is plenty for me. Very rarely do reservations sell out. And if a day does sell out in advance, it tends to open back up either that week, the day before, or the day of. I have 18 friends who have a pass (Enchant or higher) and none of them have problems and we all go on the same days together. Sometimes they have to book the reservations at a different time because their reservations are full, but when a slot opens and they have a chance, they never have a problem eventually securing the day.

I bought my pass for $849, so going 12 times minimum is $70.75 a day for a park hopper. I have a friend with the highest pass because he lives closer, so we pick him up beforehand and with that, free parking. If I do twice a month for only half the year (18 visits -- more realistic), that's $47 a day for a park hopper. And if I truly do make it to 24 visits (legit twice a month), that is $35 a day for a park hopper.

So no, that is not the same price as the cheapest pass hahaha
