Wait times were short yesterday but lots of influencers in the park "trying" the new food and beverage. I put trying in quotes because I watched an influencer couple film the new Oogie Boogie burrito, film themselves with the burrito ... and then throw the entire thing in the trash. It's a good culture. Happy to live in this time.

Sad to say, for the first time in over 20 years, I won't be renewing my pass (let's forget about the time there wasn't even a pass in 2020-2021). And honestly, the price isn't even the problem -- I initially had it as a point of contention but then when I looked at other things I could be doing (for example, traveling), I'd at most be getting an extra two or three days out of a vacation of the year (since most hotels/flights/etc can cost up to $400+ a day) -- which as we know, is not worth it when compared to a year of Disney fun. The problem, however, is the price's diminishing value. By that, I mean, everything park-wide has been lessened over the last few years and drastically in the last 2 years.

I figured by now a lot of things would have returned to normalcy -- reservations, park hopping restrictions, etc.. Honestly, even those things aren't that bad, but still a slight annoyance. But compounded with the fact that the food is getting worse (my favorite Rancho del Zocalo burrito no longer comes with beans and rice on the side? C'mon!), Lamplight Lounge outside area is no longer easily accessible, the Hyperion sits empty for yet another year, parking prices continue to skyrocket, inflation on the passes themselves continue while creating more limitations, barring people from buying passes, increasing blackout dates every year -- etc etc, it goes on and on. It no longer feels "fun" and more like work, just to make sure fun can be had. I am paying for the second-lowest pass (Enchant), and it is nearly $1000. That was the price for the most expensive pass just 8 years ago.

I always thought I'd keep a pass no matter the price (within reason), I guess I just never thought the experience itself would get worse. I think I'll be okay with going once or twice a year from now on if this is how it's going to be. Very depressed to let it go, but Disney taught me that if anything, people will pay for nostalgia. And at this point, I'm nostalgic for the way the parks used to be. So if Disney wants my money towards a pass (which honestly it doesn't even seem like they do at this point), they'll have to figure out how to make their passholder system be how it used to be -- or at least a lot better than what it is now. :(

That's understandable. At Orlando, we've been in a stopped line four times now while CM's had to retrieve a dropped smartphone....I would bet that's the major cause when the ride goes down.

If they did it at WDW it wouldn't make much difference. The attractions most everyone 'runs' to take up about 30 minutes, or more, of queue/ride time anyway.

Right, but that's one E-Ticket out of the way before the park officially opens. At a park like Hollywood Studios or Magic Kingdom, that's valuable! Much less so at the other two parks, no question.

I think what's so galling about this cut is what they're replacing it with: One (1) single-use Lightning Lane, regardless of length of stay. There are no "value" Disneyland Resort hotels. You're paying upwards of $500 a night — if not for these perks, why bother? There are nicer hotels just down the street.

Agreed

I already do this but this was the only thing making me want to stay here....I stay at a motel maybe 1,000 extra steps from staying at the Disneyland or Pixar Peir hotel. I just need a bed to sleep in most the time outside of that I'm in the parks

I haaaaate this. I loved EE for knocking out so many non-FP rides in Fantasyland. I've started the best park days this way.

Like you, I had an Annual Pass for probably around the same amount of time. After they re-opened and rolled out the Magic Key program, not only was I priced out, but reading the fine print about the reservation system and how fluid the whole thing was even if I could justify the expense, I didn't love the idea.

My partner and I decided to hold off and just visit once or twice year. Normally we try to at least go for one of the big holidays at the end of year. Anything outside of that is a bonus. Neither of us ever thought we'd never not have passes, but honestly it's a little more special now when we do get to go.

Someone just pointed out if people do stop using the DIsneyland hotel...that the cheaper hotels outside the park will be harder to get and those prices might go up

lollllll if this happens...Thank you Disney

My guess. Disney being cheap. Unlike WDW that has tons of hotels/rooms, Disneyland has few hotel rooms. Cost analysis of staffing for that half hour vs. rooms is probably lop sided negative on profit. I would doubt they'd do the same with WDW since the use is very heavy due to so many rooms there, and they probably turn a decent profit.

What is the benefit of 1 LL if you already planned on purchasing LL?
