That was a good run for LMA. DHS has had some short-lived attractions for a Disney Park: Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow (2012-2014), Millionaire (2001-2006), American Idol (2009-2014), etc.

Not to mention many in the early days of the park. Let's not forget that Muppets 3D wasn't the first Muppet attraction at the park. I give you, Here Come The Muppets:

Better to get rid of a garbage attraction sooner than later, than have it fester like an infected wound. I'm talking about "Fear Factor" as a prime example.

Some garbage attractions are harder to kill than the other ones.

Yeah this was announced a few weeks ago. Honestly, I don't care if they offer these things that happen before park open for upcharge as it doesn't affect my experience. What affects my experience is closing the park early for some stupid late night upcharge event (which was thankfully cancelled).

I agree, I could care less about these things. I think this one will fail too. They need more open to even make it worth it since Star Tours doesn't have long lines and now with a 3rd track either does Toy Story.

On a side note, they didn't close the park early. The park hours never changed, they just allowed those people to stay an extra 3 hours after closing.

I'm pretty sure the MK early morning thing is still going so this might not flop. We'll see though. DHS certainly isn't MK.

And The astuter Computer Revue (1982) which I think holds the record for the shortest lived attraction (although technically it was just revamped... dramatically... into Backstage Magic). Does Light Magic count as an attraction? LOL

Well, the point of a parade is to ATTRACT people to see it, so I typically count fireworks shows, parades and things of the like as attractions.

As far as actual rides goes, Rocket Rods may hold the record for shortest lived. If not, it's certainly up there.

Journey into your Imagination was one of the shortest life rides I can remember. This awful revamp of Journey into Imagination lasted right at two years. It was then replaced with Journey into Imagination with Figment.

Just looked it up... JIYI lasted 2 years and 7 days. Rockets Rods lasted 1 year and 126 days. Both closed right around the same time at the beginning of the millennium in 2000/2001.

I think its still going. Disney Early Morning Magic takes place from 7:45 AM to 10:00 AM on select Sundays and Tuesdays. I know its still there for August when looking at the schedule.

For some reason this makes total sense that it happened to Dopey and Goofy.

In case anyone is wondering, everyone is ok from that. The character boat didn't appear last night although it's being reported as a temporary refurb so they can install new safety measures.
