No. Those are shows, not rides.

Wild, I found those two to be the saving graces of DHS. Surprised that you didn't include them... but yes, they are more attendance based attractions.

Hard to pin a wait time down on IJ, since there's only a set number each day. Muppets is almost always a walk on.

5 minutes generally means walk on. That's what they'll post.

So do we call this a 1/4 day park now.

Seriously though when you look at the number of attractions in this park it's just mind boggling that they somehow decided they needed to remove existing attractions in order to add new attractions. This park needed an expansion bad not a renovation, oh well I guess it will be back up to 1/2 day status in a few years.

Have you seen the aerials? The amount of space that waste of an attraction took up is HUGE.

It's also a long walk to get there plus waiting for next show to start. So normally more than 5 mins actually.

Which one, they're demolishing a few right now. I agree the space is large, but this park needed an expansion, not just a tear down and rebuild as something else. I think we've come to accept that new attractions have to mean getting rid of old attractions. At MK, Universal, Disneyland and other places this makes sense, however here this was already a small park. They could have expanded out into the parking lot and made this a really great park.

Where Toy Story Land is going. The tram tour took up well over 15 acres of land in total, 11 of which will be wasted on TSL.

Well in fairness it took up a lot of space because it was built to be a working studio with the tram just going through it. I do agree the backlot needed to go since they weren't really using it, however they could have held on to that to maintain capacity until the park could be expanded.

The way I look at it, if you are gonna rip the band-aid on the park, you might as well do everything at once. No sense waiting when the park is in desperate need of help.

Yeah I agree, but I don't think they have any real intention of expanding the park. That's my real point is this wasn't a built out park that in order to squeeze a new attraction in they had to take something out.

I actually see it as a slight expansion as where TSL is going was dedicated backstage from the beginning when they thought it would be a working studio.

I think the bigger factor is number of attractions. The real estate an attraction takes up really doesn't matter too much.

Back in 1989, the BLT offered many attractions along the tour (over 20). In 2014, it was Catastrophe Canyon, the Water Tank pre-show, prop warehouse and driving through creative costuming (costumes for WDW, not movies).

Once everything is done at DHS, the park will be up from 6 rides to 9... which is the saddest part. I'm beyond happy that the BLT was put out of it's misery, but what they are replacing it with and the amount of land being used is just plain stupid. Also, not bulldozing Animation Courtyard and using the 15+ acres available there is a terrible business decision given the state of the park and that they will be renaming it yet again.

I'm not sure I would count the different elements of an attraction as individual attractions. I mean by that standard Rock N Roller Coaster is 4 attractions right? The G-Force records tour, the visit with Aerosmith in the recording studio, the Limo ride and then the backstage gift shop.

I think NBT is also counting the walking tour. I'd like to see his list though.

Of course in all fairness the combination of that walking tour and tram tour used to be a whole half day thing.

I recently saw a list of all the individual stops on the original 1989 version. It was about 18-20 experiences long and would take 2+ hours. I'll try to find the link.

EDIT: Ok, so I was off on the experiences, but that's because I had glances at the list and it lists 17 things. Quite a few are restaurants and shops. There's about 10 individual experiences.

Here it is: Backstage Studio Tour at Yesterland
