Maroon 5 concert at a private buyout. Maroon 5 did a buyout at Universal at a similar time last year.

I’ve seen Maroon 5 live, one of the worst concerts I’ve ever been to. Adam Levine was not good in person, plus during She Will Be Loved he asked everyone to live in the moment and turn off their phones. Spent a whole 5 minutes before the song explaining it, fine I get that.

Mid song he would break and ask people near the stage to stop recording. Like, don’t interrupt your most famous song! We paid for this!!!

Now hearing he rents out theme parks after that makes my blood boil for some reason lol. Only band I’ve ever seen that after seeing them live I’ve never listened to their music again, concert left me sour.

The Universal show they did in 2022 was a THREE DAY event for their fans. The website for it is still up if interested. For three days, if you paid $2K/pp, you had the luxury of being put up at Aventura!

If you read the article he is not renting the park out. A conference is renting out the park and he is playing for the people that will attend that event. I imagine the conference is paying for him to sing at their event.

No idea if it’s related, but the fiscal quarter ticks over tonight so maybe they wanted to hurry up instead of spending the money in Q4. Or, glass half empty, not do things that they were planning on doing and paying for in Q4.

I don't think the refurb is that extensive to impact the bottom line that significantly. I think they scheduled a significant test & adjust buffer period to finally make the ride more efficient.

I heard years ago the main concern with Cars Land in Florida was purely the heat. Maybe they’ve designed it to make it a bit more shaded, or not.

Regardless, it’d fit well in DHS to take over animation courtyard and beyond.

I doubt that's the issue, TSL and the rest of DHS is a giant microwave with all the asphalt and lack of shade already.

Some food for though: With the D23 expo coming up and with the behind Animation Courtyard expansion rumors, it is possible that the return of the VOTM show could be a sign of what is to come for the rumored expansion, or is VOTM coming back only temporarily until they can fully finalize what is coming behind Animation Courtyard?

I really don't think they'd invest in the refreshed version of the show (and what I've heard are moderately substantial environmental things that needed to be addressed inside the theater) if they weren't planning on it being around for a while.

So I suspect that Walt Disney Presents/One Man's Dream and Mermaid will remain basically as they are.
