They are... already doing this, as we just discussed. Implementing Shrek 4D would require producing a new preshow, which I'm not sure they have the resources or drive to do.

Turn the pre-show into a more generalized template for the daytime stuff, or heck just turn it off. :lmao:

I just need some variety :sob:, it is the only attraction I actively avoid. Which sucks because I actually love 4D shows, but this one just isn’t it. It wants to be a simulation “ride” and a 4D “show” simultaneously and it just doesn’t work for me.

Okay, but you realize that the park isn't going to always cater to your specific needs and tastes, right? Kung Fu Panda gets solid GSATs and consistently fills to capacity. People like that it's a fairly low-stakes attraction with reasonably low waits, characters they enjoy, and pleasant air conditioning.

I actually did not know this. I figured the low waits it would get would be due to the opposite, but I guess that’s a testament to its capacity.

I think it’s fine. A new film would be nice but I like how it uses the whole theater. It’s certainly better than Minion Mayhem.

I guess all this kind of explains why they couldn't get Jack Black, etc and had to get their usual fill in actors for almost everyone. At least Po's (Mick Wingert) sounds extremely convincing, made me think they at least got Jack Black, but I was surprised to find out it's not him.

Crazy how thats not him. It sounds practically exactly like him. Maybe one of these days when I see him for like the 4th time at a local punk show, I'll ask him if he can convince Uni to make a new film for this theater.
(No seriously, he goes to sooo many small shows down here in SoCal and its so funny to just see him in the crowd and suddenly recognize him. Very chill dude.)

Holy crap, didn't know. Any examples of what kind of events in case I ever swing by one?

Side note, wonder how many times he got bombarded with Minecraft Movie jokes this year at these same events. XP

Tiny SoCal shows. Theres always some in the Orange County area if you go to 'trashier' neighborhoods. Its just straight metal all the way. Don't know if I'd exactly show off the spots on here since I dont wanna get anything shut down.

Probably not many times. Most people are there to just mosh and try not to get a concussion.

Anyways, we are getting off track here and as much fun as it is to imagine Po in the mosh pit, back to this theater.

In all honesty, I don't think we will ever get any new permanent film for this place that isn't some sort of port-over. I'm willing to bet that it won't even happen for the Olympics like some are speculating. As Clive has said, its still a LOT of money to produce a new film and, truth be told, that sort of money shouldn't be going into a small film that won't really make a change in capacity.

Apart from that, lets be real here, would you all 'really' be super appreciative of a new film long term? I'm sure Panda isn't anyone's favorite and neither was Shrek. A new film would only make people happy for a very small amount of time before anyone forgets about it and goes on to ignore it just like with Shrek and Panda. The biggest problem is that this space is mostly nothing but screens. It needs actual physical elements in order to be more re-watchable.

Or they can just bulldoze it and do what Disney is too afraid to do and just construct Muppetvision from the ground up in this spot.
