I'll have the review up in a day or two, but I did want to add some thoughts on this one.

IDK why, when the property was already one of the lighter horror-adjacent properties they've done, they strayed away from the "horror" aspects of the show/game. It's pretty, but every review seems to echo the same sentiment: "This would've been great for Fan Fest, not HHN".

So…

Way back when this rumor first popped up, I was told it initially was intended for Fan Fest. Either because negotiations took too long to work for that event or because they wanted it in Orlando as well, it ended up at HHN.

I just find humor in the fact that… yeah… there were no signs this house would actually be scary. The games themselves are barely scary (and not scary at all if you play them certain ways).

so even the commercial on TV is kinda lying. that's disappointing.

I mean they weren't lying about our version, considering where our house's finale is set in.

Been observing POV's and videos, and talking to friends and colleagues and it makes me confused. Especially when considering how many of the Orlando creatives seemed to be fans of the franchise at large. For a IP like Fallout that could've had the potential to be something truly grand (especially in a location like the New Sprungs), it does seem like a fizzler.

This exactly. It feels much more like a walkthrough than a haunted house, if that makes sense.

I think this really would’ve worked in Hollywood as a Fan Fest experience tbh. Expand out a few scenes and then rework the finale and you’d be golden.

and I was gonna say, perhaps it was done Not so scary to be in connection to five nights at Freddy's since the fanbase would overlap a little bit.
im not saying that the fanbases are exactly the same, but they do probably overlap.
I would make perfect sense for both houses to be less intense.
I just didn't expect so many humans.

The scares are subjective at the end of the day but Freddy's makes attempts. It felt like a haunted house.

Fallout didn't.

Walking through the house during the UTH tour was more enjoyable for me as a fan of the show. Lots of details, and seeing the T-60 suits up close was awesome. The house at night went by really quickly (moreso than others), so I missed a few things. Was glad I got the chance to see it at a slower pace.

I haven't been in the house myself yet but the main complaint I keep hearing about this house is the lack of ghouls. It seems pretty obvious to me that if one was to take Fall-Out and amp up the horror elements of it that they would utilize more ghouls. Does anyone have any idea as to why this didn't happen? Seems like a no-brainer so I'm confused as to why (other than "The Ghoul") they're absent.

it's completely based on the show and I guess the show didn't really display them that much.
sounds like the network might have had stipulations on what was used. maybe.

I really liked the house as a fan (not necessarily for scares), but I was surprised

they didn't do anything with ghouls popping out of the freezers. I thought for sure the last one pressing against the windows would be fake and be able to come at us/get closer to us. But I guess they really wanted to focus on story moments over scares

There are barely any ghouls in the show (outside The Ghoul) and none of the ghouls that exist in the show (so far) are feral. The show actually goes out of its way to showcase why the ghouls are not feral.

100%

For me the house felt like Fan Fest (not bad, just not worthy of a HHN slot). I love the Fan Fest concept because IPs and concepts like Fallout, that don't fit HHN, can still be made into a walkthrough experience.

I'm pretty open to any concept for a house. I don't care for FNAF/WWE, but there's an obvious attempt there and I enjoyed my walkthroughs. Fallout doesn't really do that, unfortunately.

I hope I'm wrong and the house evolves over the run.
