Just reading through that thread, it just seems to me it makes more sense to have the spike at the beginning and use it's momentum to run the rest of the course. Any chance that long middle section the tracks are crossed or is that pretty much it? I ask because it seems like having the charger leave the station first, the train turns towards the maintenance bay then the cars turn around(I'm not sold on a fast reverse launch just from a safety perspective). It launches to the spike, they reverse, then the charger leads the rest of the way. As presented, the charger will trail the whole ride until the spike at the end of the ride. Just seems off to me.

Agreed. Have the ride start with a “drag race” that shifts into a spaghetti bowl chase sequence.

Middle section is a mystery until we get more footings poured. I suspect that certainly on the return to station leg we will get some sort of element, maybe not quite celestial spin but something memorable to end the ride with.

Spike at the start is likely a dead idea, but something interesting will take place.

I wouldn't focus too much on the Charger, it can just as easily leave the station at the back of the train then lead from the first launch. remember I plotted this layout THEN got confirmation of Direction of Travel, so we know for sure that it wont be leaving the spike and going left to the mid course brake run, none of the rest of the layout works like that.

Looking at that, I have to agree. I don't think the supports shown at the yellow arrow are far enough apart to handle the momentum of the train speed coming off the spike. They'd likely want taller supports in a high speed turn to reduce lat G's.
