It's a car so I imagine backwards will be kept to a minimum and for the most part we will be facing the direction of travel, save for a few transitions.
That seems to be the case at Hollywood, no?

Yes, mostly forward/drifting for all the cars. I just meant there's videos (with riders) in Hollywood where two cars rotate in opposite directions than the other two during certain elements of track. Maybe that could happen during the spike here. Just a slightly different experience depending on which car you ride.

Side Note:
I don't remember the name of the ride but years ago at Busch Gardens Tampa, our group rode this swinging ship ride where the riders faced the center of the ship, so you were looking strait at the other half of the riders. We almost walked past it not really thinking much of it but it turned out to be a highlight of the trip. It was SO funny to see the other riders expressions as the ship swung more and more vertical, eventually all the way around , which was a surprise to us. I just remember laughing so hard it was a great time.

Yes, and my uninformed assumption is that it looks to be a short ride.. it covers a lot of distance, but if its Fast and Furious I don't think it will be Far-reaching in duration. Isn't the majority of the layout in front of City Walk?

It won't have 20-30 seconds worth of break runs, so that alone will already be an immediate improvement.

Hollywood Drift will have more elements than Rockit anyways. If we're not counting brake runs Rockit didn't really do a whole lot.

The brake runs made it more of a scenic railway. It was like, "Whee, now we're going, Nope, I was wrong."

This ride looks so incredibly clean. The spike is getting all the attention but looks like they just completed the hill going over the stage. I like Rock-It’s loop, this is perfectly centered…the OCD in me is embarrassingly excited about this.

I also like that they’re seemingly making a concentrated effort NOT to make Velocicoaster 2.0. The elements (from what I can tell) all seem unique, the backward portion is new, and that’s all not even accounting for the spinning vehicles.

I know “Universal is Six Flags” used to be said disparagingly but a Universal quality park with Six Flags quality coasters is honestly a dream.

Eh I doubt it. That space pretty much has to be paved over for the amount of traffic that passes through. At least the bulk of the layout is happening in front of the park, though, which I’m sure they’ll beautify.
