This is what I'm confused on, its good enough for TM's and Video previews and the ride seems to be working 100% but also they can't get it work I guess for long enough to open the ride to the public

Like I said I'm interested to hear the full story once someone isn't apart of Universal any more can spill the beans on when USH thought it would open when they announced the ride and how many times it was pushed back after that

I mean it could be that not all the ride vehicles are 100%

I stumbled upon this gem on Instagram and thought it was funny.

As someone rightfully commented “Even a train makes more noise than that.”

Yesterday, I’ve have got invited to TEA’s industry meeting. And met bunch of universal creatives and engineers friend from ush, WDI peoples. There was lots of important and unexpected discussions I have engaged, heard some interesting stories. I’ll post things I heard as time goes on.

Regarding F&F, an engineer who is currently working on the ride confirmed to me that the cracked screen shield glass was caused by an external impact, not by a structural issue. In other words, the structure is stable, with no problems related to bending or shear forces. The most likely cause is that someone accidentally dropped an object, such as a phone, onto the glass, causing it to crack. The damaged glass is being replaced, and the ride is still expected to open according to the planned schedule.

Many of creatives and USH relative members in that event already rode F&F. They mention that the ride has really interesting forces and backward launch and rotation inversion moment. But many of them still have preferred velocicoaster yet mention that the ride is arguably the best coaster in california.

I just really want to caution you that many of the things shared at TEA meetings and mixers are considered to be privileged - a sort of "Friend-D-A" understanding. Unless they specifically consented to you sharing this information on public internet forums, they likely would not approve of you doing so, as it could threaten their employment. Based on what you've shared here, it wouldn't hard for me (or someone else) to figure out who you might have discussed the more specific matters with.

Of course, I understand the Friend D-A agreement and will continue not to share any detailed confidential or sensitive information. I believed what I mentioned does not involve any detailed and fragile proprietary or private details. It simply clarifies that the shield glass does not have a structural defect(which general audience already have acknowledged and indicated this issue) and the cracking was caused by an external impact. But this is false in different perspective and went too far.

In this forum, I generally only share information that comes from public conversations, as a member of the general public or details that are already publicly recognized and widely known. As going forward, I’ll not share any technical, operational, or confidential information I hear in private spaces. And I will continue to respect the boundaries of professionalism. My apologies, I appreciate the reminder and will remain mindful of those responsibilities.

Love the one comment of its during the day you should be at work, lol

Also just shout out to rich people making things worst for everyone, this is why we don't get the castle shows as much and what not because these people moved next to a theme park but don't want the park to do anything fun.

What's funny is that I've taken a stroll down there a while ago (Like long before SES and AA were even torn down), and you could clearly hear the audio from the Frog choir back when they had it and the star way audio. Like, you could hear that clearly. What's going on here isn't that much louder than what's already there.

Simon, to be real with you, you're willingness to share information has been a major red flag for folks.

FWIW, these types of stories are typically not indicative of the whole area. It's been happening in Anaheim forever with Disneyland's fireworks. Toluca Lake has been a community almost as long as Universal has been a movie studio, I think most residents get it.

I really appreciate you being real with me, Joe and Clive. I misread the expectations of privacy regarding what is discussed at TEA and I understand why it may be problematic to people in the industry. I apologize and It was a rookie mistake on my part. I’ve edited my posts and will make sure to strictly respect those professional boundaries moving forward. Thank you for the call out.

This is my first time hearing of a TEA event but I'm genuinely curious -- do the professionals who attend those kind of things spend time on internet message boards sharing information about the things that were discussed? Like do industry professionals have that kind of interest/time?

I'm assuming, people are upset because it would be unfair if a normal person gets invited to this and all the people who were doing the inviting are under NDA as well and can't talk but a guest spills everything

Industry professionals who attend these events have an implicit understanding that any privileged information discussed stays at the event and isn't to be repeated or posted elsewhere.

I keep saying, the glass panels are not scream shields. They are just there.

And yes, these boards are read by industry professionals.

With AX tomorrow for me, gonna be interesting if softs happen while I'm busy with that con. Funny enough, I remember skipping the first day of that con in 2019 since some out of state friends couldn't fit a planned USH trip outside of the AX schedule. That day ended up being the 4th of July where JW soft opened, and I'll never forget how sacrificing a day of the con ended up being a blessing in disguise. While I'm sticking to the con this time, I'm looking forward to seeing if history repeats here.

Still unreal to think about, on one hand you'd usually think 3rd party fan forums are a space away from the eyes of these people (which is usually the case for mediums other than this one), but on the other, this is one whose host website people gets invited as press to new stuff, so they'd probably be vetting what kind of people are on/run the site in the first place, which makes sense to me.
(Makes me hope they are aware of what's been discussed here for what could be improved for FFN as it grows, for instance.)

Not to go off topic, but if someone's alright with explaining, what happened with this person in question? Sounds like something people who've been here for far longer would know.
