On the terms of Practical effects/CGI Effects. Theres a need for both; in many retrospectives.
I mean hell; California's new version of SES focuses more on the practical effects, due to that CGI is common in Hollywood; just like how Practical effects were back before CGI. Sure, in a theme park; especially a simulator attraction like this or Kong for that matter; where you need to immerse the guest in the best way and shape that's possible.
Back to F&F..and to me, I see Kong being VERY telling on how they'll handle the 360 portion; as that can be the defining factor to how the new iteration of Supercharged will work, especially with it being the LARGEST showbuilding in the resort property, they have a good amount of space to have a good sized attraction, bare minding that the Line as Teebs has said in the past; is MASSIVE.
It may be me, but I have a lot of hope for this attraction, due to how well Kongs turning up; to where that's using the IP to a great advantage. And sure, F&F "could" of been a Street Racing roller coaster, that may of had mediocre capacity; but your getting a high capacity attraction possibly, with hopefully; a mix of Practical and Digital effects, making it all work the best way and shape that's all possible.
Its a rant, but F&F to me may surprise a lot of people; especially if they handle it with good care, like Kong on the conversion from the Studio Tour to a Mega-Attraction.
