I'm expecting something based on a removed USF attraction.

Good riddance. Hopefully whatever replaces it is worthy of UOR newer attractions, and is a total gut of the aging ride system.

If the goal is to fast track an additional attraction to market for UOR in 2028, my guess is they will reskin the current ride system. If not, they will go all out with something new. That's my read for the moment.

As much as I would love a new BTTF ride, it would be a total wasted opportunity to throw it on this dated ride system. I’m not a fan of Kong either.

I believe the insinuation is that the Orlando coaster will cannibalize USH's - which I don't believe should be any concern for several reasons.

1. Different layouts. Unique coaster credits for those junkies.
2. It'll have about a year headstart. Plenty of time to milk the newness before it becomes just another cog in the line-up.
3. It's USH first and ONLY outdoor coaster. As long as it's received well, it'll have long-lasting appeal.

True, maybe if they were opening back to back it will have more effect, but it’s still weird in my opinion to have the same theme even if it’s a new layout

plus, so few tourists attend both parks, it's inconsequential.

Yes yes its not enough for that...but so is BTTF.

So thats just my guess is this is Wicked along with what will replace this at USH on the tram as well

It really says something when there are so many people more excited about this ride closing than a brand new one opening. I hope its replacement puts that space to good use, whatever it may be.

With F&F confirmed for 2027, USF could potentially receive a quick reskin of Supercharged in 2028 (paired with a major Pokemon-Ministry expansion), followed up with a quiet year in 2029 (maybe a refurb or two) and then Wicked in 2030 (2 years post Springfield licensing ends).

I think Pokemon for 2029 makes more sense (and maybe Creature in 2030?), but besides that, looks good.

I’m happy to be the lone voice regretting the removal of Supercharged. I think it’s massively overhated for a stupid-fun ride that replaced something much worse. I don’t think it’s even one of the two worst rides currently operating in the Studios.

This announcement also leaves Universal down an attraction for at least another year and possibly longer - actually, down two, since the Makeup show will be closed most of the year. Worse, it leaves the park without two of its very, very few ACCESSIBLE attractions.
