Adding on to this, even though it's basically a giant promotional photo op, think about all the people who stand in gargantuan, slow moving lines at Disneyland just for a photo op with Micky, a Fairy, Jack/Sally, or a Princes. Clearly, even on a simple photo op level, there are people who want that sort of thing... even if it's not my cup of tea.
