Honestly, even in it's static defunct state, JPRA is better than JWRA

Half agree. The Mosasaurus screen section sucks really bad, the screens with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are poorly done and completely break my immersion, I miss the falling jeep, and vastly prefer the atmosphere from the original lift hill.

But all the new animatronics and especially the new finale are so incredible that it remains my favorite ride at USH. If they just… don’t do the big screen tunnel, and keep the rest of the ride closer to JPRA than JW but still add all the new animatronics, that would be like my favorite ride ever

My biggest annoyance with this is the completely open exit. How difficult is it to add rockwork so we'd literally exit via the cave tunnel!? Plus keeping the waterfall would help sell the cracked glass gimmick since you wouldn't see the outside

Understatement. There was originally going to be another screen before unload of them welcoming us back. Thankfully that was removed early on

For whatever it's worth, that scene is heavily pulled from the original Jurassic Park Crichton novel.

I believe it was initially in the first drafts of the first film, too. They were simultaneously designing the ride and film, but the ride was in too deep by the time they cut it from the movie.

And when they're at the table with the "spared no expense" lunch.. you can hear in the background audio they mention the "river adventure/cruise" as one of the park's upcoming rides

JPRA needs the former vine/plant covered canopy that the USH version used to have so it can block the view of Hogwarts

The entire lift hill after load should be covered honestly.

I could be wrong, but I don’t believe JPRA will ever be re-themed from the original movie. Universal Creative right now seems to realize how powerful evergreen nostalgic movies like all the Spielberg stuff, Ghostbusters, BTTF, Monsters etc is. They’re getting big park presence with as much merch, event representation etc as their modern films.

With Velocicoaster next door as a world class coaster and must-do attraction representing the World films, I see little reason to retheme JPRA and the overall area to a 10 year old reboot that was only mildly well received and doesn’t seem to have much of a legacy.

If they HAVE to retheme it, I wouldn’t hate Rebirth as long as the overall land stays Park themed. But idk, I think a massive refresh keeping everything the same is the most likely outcome

I dunno... I love the current JPRA, it certainly needs some love, so I guess I don't really care about JW as along as they keep the doors opening.

The important thing here, though, is - DO NOT TOUCH THE ISLA NUBAR IPA!

Yeah , best beer in the park if not the whole resort. Although I heard that sideways brewing has some representation now .
