We go to the Room of Requirement in Forbidden Journey. That's the load area.

Correct, and I don’t believe they’ll be any retread on things already seen in FJ’s queue.

JungleSkip said:
The crazy thing about the queue is there are a few really big rooms that had switchbacks that were never used. There could be full scenes in there if they wanted to make them.

There’ll definitely be a few great big rooms in there.

Since they are just now starting on the "gatehouse" area/ still have plenty of work to do outside, do you think itll be open by June?

No. It was right as we entered the diorama and we got to walk around freely taking pictures and stuff. It was amazing.

And by “we got to walk around freely”, we mean “we knew the ride wasn’t going to go back up so we just decided to walk the track and take pictures because nobody can stop us on the last day”
I waited 2 hours for that last ride and was it a great way to go.

A secret passage could lead to the Room of Requirement for anyone who is in need, and I guess we need help.
Argus Filch knows at least about 3 secret passages where the destination is unknown and due to the lore there are at least 7 passage ways out of Hogswart. So there is a lot of opportunities for J.K. Rowling to fill in some blanks and expand the universe.

Potterhead here. Let me highlight this.

The known, traversable passages to exit/enter the castle would be:
1. The one-eyed witch statue, which goes into Honeydukes
2. The tunnel under the Whomping Willow, which goes into the Shrieking Shack.
3. The portrait of Ariana hanging in Hog's Head, which connects to the Room of Requirement.
4. The vanishing cabinets (loosely), connecting the Room of Requirement to Borgin and Burkes.
5. An undisclosed passage by the statue of Gregory the Smarmy from Hogwarts to who knows where.

If I were a betting woman, I would say the Whomping Willow would fit best with the scene. HOWEVER, that is assuming we are trying to get into/out of the castle. The Hogwarts grounds are sprawling and full of secrets in the books - they could do just about anything and get away with it.

So this is a bit of Hogsmead's Edge, if you catch my drift. Some familiar things sprinkled over a completely new thing.

I remember reading that the queue for DD was one of, if not the, longest queues in the world for a ride

Not interested in the additional months.
I'm well aware of it though.
I'm just going to wait until a few months after it opens to start a new pass.

This is exactly what theme parks should be. An extension of the movie world and not just a recap of what happened.

I always applauded Universal for extending the universe and not retelling a movie beat for beat (unlike Disney mainly does). But Galaxy Edge is just beyond stupid to me when there is no movie location build.

I can agree that basing a world off of something we have never seen can be a shot in the dark. Mos Eisley would have been a shoe-in, even though we haven't visited Tatooine in the new trilogy (who says they can't have an excursion to that corner of the galaxy, though?).

Luckily, I think HP has hit the sweet spot of nostalgic/iconic, while also being adventurous and new. Not saying everything about it is perfect, but its pretty darn close.

Late story time.

Our last trip, we did early admission on our first day. F&F Supercharged is included in this. We rode it.. first ride.. first day.. first time on F&F.. we got evacced. And as much as we can hate the ride.. it's very technically impressive. And we got two express passes each!

That’s the golden egg for theme parks. Not only do you get to see all the cool behind the scene stuff, you’re compensated for it.

This coaster has got to be at the top of the list for dream evacs.

I’ve only ever been evacuated off Tower of Terror and it was in the 5th dimension scene.

They could’ve stopped us, but they didn’t. I did hear that some people were caught trying to rip the plants and got kicked out though.

I still don't understand the disconnect here. First off, the land/location is already being added to the new films, paperbacks, and comics. It will be filled with familiar characters and spaceships from the entire universe. The concept is this is "your Star Wars story", not revisiting or rehashing the movies you've seen 100 times. There is nothing "stupid" about it. There is only your own inability to grasp why it makes so much sense.
