Can someone explain or even draw out how the ride vehicle would look. I would but I can’t get it around my head..

It seems safe to say that almost all signs point to an Intamin "Family Drop Coaster," which is the style of Thirteen at Alton Towers.

The one thing that doesn't fit with that is 14-passenger trains. Intamin coasters usually have 4-passenger cars, including the other family drop coasters they've done, which is problematic because no number of normal 4-passenger cars is going to build a 14-passenger train.

What if the first car only holds two because the front has large themed element?

Or, the 14 number is inaccurate? Could be.

Well Wave Breaker has 8 rows. Juvelen has 9. So I don't think there's necessarily a standard for their "motobike" coasters.

I think the biggest limiting factor here would be the load/unload since those structures are remaining in place.

So less motorbike, more ATV....Which makes sense for young Sirius Black's motorbike and sidecar. Tried like hell to come up with a good picture of the train and seating, but it was near impossible. You get a few looks here:

My statement that it's a "family drop coaster" was meant to imply that it isn't a "family launch coaster," which is what the motobike/ATV/jet ski are called.

I'd go so far as to say there is no evidence that supports this being a motorbike type coaster other than people on the internet talking about how it should be one.

By contrast, there are a number of reasons that possibility is disputed by what we can see being built, including:
- Some of the supports have a track connector style not used on any previous ATV/motorbike coasters.
- Stopping on the spike would be incredibly uncomfortable on a bike, and the restraints may not be designed for that.
- The length of train required would be problematic in many places:
1. The train would barely fit in the station complicating loading and unloading
2. The spike isn't super tall - the last few motorbikes would still be somewhat level at the bottom
3. It's not clear that an entire long motorbike train would fit in the first circular building/scene
4. The longer train makes the drop track much harder and more complicated to build and operate

If we acknowledge that it won't be a motorbike style or "family launch coaster" (As Intamin calls it, because this clearly will have launches), then we will quickly find ourselves looking at trains comprised of 4-passenger cars, and the 14-passenger train issue remains.

I mean, we're not going to get much more evidence until Universal officially announces it. Actual plans almost never leak, so we could be waiting a while.
But if we believe that Hagrid really is the star of the ride, nothing else makes sense than the motorbike. And no, flying benches don't make sense. So nothing says that can't make up something generic or not from the books. But there's no good reason to avoid the bike thematically.

As to the drop ride vs launch coaster... Which is the more prevelent part of the ride.... A single drop section... Or many, and varied launches? It's a launched coaster first, and drop track second.

I was someone that thought the Hogwarts Express couldn't exist as we were told it would. There would hundreds of pages here that said it could never work. That will be the same here with all the reasons we think it can't be a motorbike. It will be a unique motorbike coaster, for sure. But this is a motorbike coaster.

And again your reason #1 explains how we end up at 14. 7 rows only makes sense if you're making it fit within the existing load station. And it's a 70° incline. I wouldn't worry about anyone being level.

I think it's crazy we have as much info as we do here considering Universal has released practically nothing about it. Are you peeps with inside knowledge getting the heads up to leak? I feel like it would be easy for them to find out who is releasing the deets.

This is one of the things that leads me to believe that it may be a new model of some sort. It has elements from various different models all packed into one, so it's possible that they're just doing something completely new with this.

What if it's not a motorbike ride vehicle, but purely a sidecar. Then the "discomfort" doesn't factor.

So the important question is once we're inside Hagrid's hut (with AA Hagrid??) which creature (another AA??) is it that "goes horribly wrong" and speeds us on our way? Presumably it's not Fluffy since Fluffy is later. Norbert?

You may be on to something, rows of sidecars all enchanted so they can be pulled by Hagrids bike at the front?!?

If the tradition of JK/WB being sticklers for cannon holds, there's not many prominent options left:
Care of Magical Creatures | Harry Potter Wiki | FANDOM powered by Wikia

Would they really do another dragon? Would they really do another Hippogriff?

Or is there one particular chaos inducing creature that we haven't seen yet? :read:

I like to see them do creatures that never made it into the movies, like the Blast-Ended Skrewts, for example.

I know they don’t work very well for this attraction, but I’d love to see WWoHP take advantage of Boggarts. Perhaps in the ministry ride? They’re fascinating and frightening and because they can turn into anything, there’s some amazing re-rideability potential.

That was my thought with the "And then we speed off". I could see a Skrewt or two in the hut. They get agitated (they all kill one another in the books), and they go off with a cool Big Thunder in DL-like explosion effect and we get shot out of Hagrid's Hut (or whatever it is)

One of the great sins of the films is negating the Skrewts, so this would make me very happy.
