So all in all what were the scrapped properties this year? I feel like there were enough to fill up two lineups. Compared to the OG leaked lineup we at least got 3/7 of the properties, and luckily they were good ones

Invisible Man has been a character every year at HHN.
May even have been in multiple mazes.
May even have been in the scare zones or trams.
He's just that good.
I hear John Cena likes to play him on a few nights out of the year.
I'm glad he's front and center on that Universal Monsters promo pic.

Any time you've walked through a maze and an actor misses their cue? Nope, it was just the invisible man

You fools, that movie theater is a fake facade to throw fans off from what’s REALLY in the Tent. It’s a mashup of all the mazes we thought we’d never see, featuring AHS Asylum, Scream, Conjuring, IT & Hellraiser all with black walls

Exactly. That person asked about FUTURE mazes. Obviously next year and years after, the merger will effect HHN but not this year. It’s still a Fox property as of right now, this year. Not Disney.

^This is the Hollywood HHN thread. Check the one that mentions HHN 28 for Orlando info.

I think the accepted answer could be that IF they did Asylum they feared that they would receive backlash similar to how Knotts did with their Asylum attraction. Cult is WAY too political and real (the mass-shooting scene) and doesn't quite fit the event . Coven has the least amount of material to work with and is one of the lesser-received seasons so that is a bit of a dud. Essentially it was too risky, too political, and too boring...combine that with the fact that Roanoke was not well-received by the GP it just makes sense to get rid of it.

My guess would be a combination of "Asylum is controversial" and "Fox wants to avoid looking like they favor one bidder over another (Comcast, which owns Uni, versus Disney)."

... we really aren't missing out in the AHS camp, tbh lol sorry to the AHS fans, but two years was more than enough. I would've loved to see Asylum (my second favorite season) or even an extended version of Hotel (my first favorite, unpopular opinion, I know). But AHS as a Haunt doesn't intrigue me. Then again, neither does Stranger Things and I have a feeling we're about to milk that cow for the next 3-5 years.

If Stranger things (most likely) is maze of the year, by consensus of fans overall, then milk away. Honestly I'm down for that series and given what future seasons have in store, I could tolerate it's return for a few more years. Blumhouse films and the Titans of Terror on the other hand, they can go back to the grave for all I care really.

Considering Stranger Things 3 releases next summer I’m curious to see if they do 2&3 next year or solely 2

Personally I hope next year is just season 2, which imo is the far superior season. I was a bit disappointed it wouldn't be represented this year. Season 1 I thought the show was a bit above average 7/10. Season 2, I was all aboard that hype train boooooiiiiii!, 10/10.

Don't mean to double post and put this outside of it's ticketing thread, but I thought this was definitely needed for everyone to hear:
HHN got back to me. "Early Entry for this year's event is exclusive to tickets only purchased in advance on our official website." So in other words, no box office tickets or discounted sites (Burger King, college, Coca-Cola whatever) can get you early entry.

It sounds like Figure is being used, but Murdy specified it's for other scarezones.

Yup. And if I'm not mistaken, Toxic has been mentioned to have Figure tracks.

That said..there is a reason to MM having some unique music.

So if I buy Frequent Fear or two-night pass, I can still get into early entry, right?

Kinda glad they're limiting early entry as long as it's not at the expense of the FFP folks.
