I just think it was dumb that they were sending in people side by side. That was absolutely ridiculous. I don't know why they weren't doing single file lines like they usually do but whatever

We didn't ever encounter that, but we only did one night and that was back in September. Something funky is definitely going on there...

I didn't encounter this the third week of September, which was fairly busy. It was emphatically shouted probably 3 times out of 5 when entering houses on the penultimate Wednesday, which was not busy.

it being deployed later in the event is even more baffling since it became clear by the third week that the event wasn't getting anywhere near the nutso crowds we saw in 2023.

It absolutely came down to some spreadsheet that rewarded someone (or a group of managers) for how many people they pumped through the maze per hour/night.

I always thought this was just standard here and in other events like KSF or FF, couples like my sister and her boyfriend, a mother and son, or even scared teens hugging together in pairs while walking, seen this as far as 2017.
Guess it just never been noticed until now where they wanted everyone to do it

there's a difference between huddling up with someone you want to be huddled up with vs. well, whatever they were doing here.

They were making people go in twos with people not in their party? LOL

But ditto, ready for spec on 2025. I have A LOT of thoughts on what needs to be done to get us back to the glory days and I think 2025 is ripe with opportunity.
