The current install happening is for both HHN and some prep work for Grinchmas. This will help expedite the full install after HHN.

This is an incredibly welcome change. Genuinely happy to see them evolve the fire towers, and hopefully they add the neon lettering that's in the Orlando version of this.

I cannot believe how hard they’re going this year. It’s insane. They’ve doubled the effort in seemingly every possible way.

Personally speaking, I find it a upgrade considering what they have been for the past decade and a half. Considering we've had the support crates for as long as we have (and with the odd occasion of Trick 'r Treat in 2018 having the single truss, and with 2017 not having any at all because of DWT being under construction).

It feels like a notable step forward, especially once we hopefully see theming go around the fire tower and throughout New York Street and Universal Boulevard now that the Wicked photo op is gone.

ok but, and i’m seriously asking: what is the upgrade? bigger flame? more flame? better aesthetic with the new truss? more teeth?

I still don't understand. What is actually different here?

Big shipping container boxes are now gone and it appears to have a similar set-up to that of Orlando's entry zone.

Reducing the storage crates for the sake of the new trusses. Making the Fire Tower structure while still large, using a similar support setup to what Orlando has done with the front gate (and that we don't have theming for the tower yet, so they can still add more in the process; like what they did last year for the sake of Skull Lordz).

Echoing @ladiesman217--Less bulk with the containers. Makes it more closer to that of what Orlando does in turn.

Thank you for clarifying. That's fine, I guess, but I'm not sure how much of a practical difference this change will make. It's possible that the old rig simply hit the end of its service life.

They have been using that same rigging since 2009. It's been up for as long as I have been going!

But I welcome the change. I think it looks great!

Yeah the opening scaremony has seemed like an active fire hazard for as long as I’ve been going. Hopefully this will change that.
