^Good point, also one less place for the scary monsters to hide behind.

If memory serves me right, the old fire tower didn't have lights on it. Is there a possibility no fire? If so, would be a shame, it added a real nihilistic quality to the area.

So I took a gander at the food and drink options for HHN this year (Thanks to the IU article!) I think the food looks delicious enough to where I might buy a food card! I have a some questions about it if anyone knows:

1) Is it only good for the night you buy it? Or can you “spread out” the card for multiple nights?

2) How much is it?

3) Does the card also include alcoholic beverages?

The fine print (emphasis mine):
  • Dining Pass is valid on your selected date only.
  • Dining Pass includes two (2) eligible entrée items and four (4) eligible side, snack, dessert or beverage items.
  • Dining Pass is subject to availability and can be redeemed at participating food and beverage locations during Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood theme park, excluding alcoholic beverages, Starbucks®, Coca-Cola Freestyle®, kids meal, retail stores, merchandise, souvenir items, collectibles, special events/ promotions, candies, and Universal CityWalk Hollywood.
  • Eligible menu items are designated by a Universal Studios Hollywood Dining Pass logo on the menu boards. The shareable 22” All Beef Hot Dog requires the redemption of two (2) entrée items.
  • Dining Pass must be redeemed in its entirety on the selected date and will not be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed. Any food or beverage items not redeemed on the selected date will expire and be forfeited. Valid Halloween Horror Nights admission required.
  • Valid at Universal Studios Hollywood, located in Los Angeles, California.

There will be a HHN Medallion, similar to how they had a Fan Fest Medallion

Thank you @Jonathan and @Jake S ! This is super helpful! Of course the details were mentioned in the article but I somehow missed that.

$45 doesn't sound too bad for one night, especially if you want to split with another person! The thai tacos and the birria fritos sound delicious!

2 Questions

1) SNW is included if I am using express correct? What time does SNW close?
2) Does the Website have the closing times for the event? I am looking on the site and not seeing times. Mainly want to know what time the event closes on the first Thursday

Yes, both Express options and the day/night combo ticket get you access to Super Nintendo World. The website says the hours are 6-10 PM. Maybe someone can correct me, but I think Thursday closing time is 1 AM.

USH will not be doing the necklace concept that is being tested at Orlando's event this year.

Exactly. It creates unnecessary and avoidable friction, forces actors to hesitate to check for the necklaces, and creates another thing for management to deal with when you inevitably get upset guests.

There is no reason to sell "No Boo necklaces" at HHN where there is already an event for people like this: Fan Fest Nights.

Even at Knott's, where they have this, they don't work in the houses.
