Halloween Horror Nights 2025 (USH) - Speculation & Rumors

I highly doubt this scenario, because Murdy and Co may not have even talked to Amazon/MGM about Fallout, but went straight to Bethesda, just like they worked directly with Naughty Dog for TLOU (and that's if Fallout is even happening, which isn't guaranteed).

You say that but--I feel like that's ignoring the absolute *numbers* that the Fallout TV show had. If I recall correctly, the Amazon show has now become the highest viewed show from Amazon's Studios and that I would imagine they would've noticed that when beginning to formulate and research early on into the development cycle of this year.

Still would have to work with Bethesda, true, but Fallout for all intents and purposes if I am not mistaken; seems to be Amazon's big "Stranger Things" show. A show that has worldwide acclaim and has a established point that can work well for a house (and true it isn't guaranteed, but I do think it makes sense that they might have reason to easily pursue it).

You could say that with any MGM/Amazon IP. Oh we're possibly getting Fallout this year, so I guess that means Killer Klowns is coming back? Oh maybe we'll get a RoboCop house. Ah well we could get Silence of the Lambs that's been rumored for awhile. Wait no, how about Carrie? I mean we did get The Shining in 2017. Actually no. I think we're getting a Terminator house. Source: my imagination. This whole Poltergeist rumor has just been pulled out of nowhere and your reasoning/"speculation" can be applied to any Amazon/MGM horror related ip. It's silly.

I feel like I have to say that my line of deduction comes from the idea of "Probable Causality".

Just because I bring up Amazon Studios (which is the merged Amazon/MGM), it doesn't mean I inheritedly mean anything and everything is on the table. That'd be ridiculous of me to consider and think of in the sense of it. Poltergeist, for intents and purposes; is a IP that if you recall didn't really seem to get the package that Orlando got in the care and attention that was placed onto it.

Be if it was as a result of the direction taken (As @Freak brought up), budget cuts done to the house in light of keeping others afloat; or what-not have you, Poltergeist at Hollywood left something to be desired at the end of the day for the original incarnation. We know additionally that Amazon Studios *is* developing a new take of the material for TV, so it isn't like the IP is on sacred grounds and isn't tied up in legal crap.

I can easily been wrong, have been wrong before in the past but I think Poltergeist makes sense when considering how successful Insidious was; and how there is a question of what "will" be the exclusive IP this year.

I have only seen the first episode of the Fallout show, but the general vibe I have gotten is that despite having a lot of violence and gore, it is more action-adventure focused, rather than leaning into more of the "horror-esq" elements that can sometimes be found within the games.

Beyond the notably more complicated licensing deal that they would have to make to pull from the show, I honestly think a potential Horror Nights house has a lot more creative potential without it. They can utilize some of the creepiest and disturbing elements from across the entire series of games, rather than having to conform to a book report of a show that only has 8 episodes so far.

I personally think Fallout as a IP is too "open" and "expansive" to work with a linear event such as HHN. Atleast, for the games itself (but that's because unlike FNAF, The Last of Us, or Silent Hill; Fallout strives in what "you" want to do. Not so much what "X" character wants to do).

I think the GP are more familar to the Amazon show by proxy in comparison to that of the games, and they'll be able to identify that of The Ghoul, Lucy, and Maximus than they will of a "Random" Fallout NPC and Fallout Character. I also think narratively you actually have a lot that can be pulled with the TV show to make it more in the line of the "Dark Ride" angle from A Quiet Place, Chucky UKC, and Stranger Things 2023.

EDIT: I am adding this in @mccgavin so my apologies--but I think at the end of the day, on a "core" level; Fallout is not a Horror IP that I associate with for the sake of HHN. I think had this of been for a FFN for both coasts, this would be a killer headliner there that'd make all the sense in the world for it.

But with it at HHN (depending on if it sticks), I think you would have a few options with the TV show. It's not horror either, like the games in the traditional sense; but I think it fits into the "Dark Ride" element quite nicely. There is a segment within the TV show later on in the season that has Lucy being forcibly held in a place that'd frankly work really well in a HHN environment.

If for the element of being able to go more into the "gore" element of what that specific location is implied to be for.

Then at that point, it’d be just an original concept using that of the “Fallout” brand. Once that in theory could work, but I almost have to think there is going to be an expectation placed due to but how well the Prime show did.

I can be wrong and off base, but I genuinely think the numbers the TV show did is going to lead them to go for the Prime series. By Mid May of 2024 when 2025 early development was being kickstarted, Fallout by that time had broken past the 80m view record due to how many people were flocking to see the show itself. Those are numbers I don’t think you avoid.

Fallout being one of this year's IP originals could actually work out really well. I mean of course I don't expect them to be able to fit the whole wasteland in a maze. A smaller part of the environment or a vault might not be a bad idea for a maze based on fallout.

I didn't see this until now, but I definitely agree that Fallout could work very well for FFN.

Moreso than Horror Nights, the Amazon series would make for a perfect thematic fit for that kind of event, and the ability to interact with the show's characters could be better utilized in that setting.

I'd like to deposit that Nosferatu would make for a killer "Universal" IP fill-in. It'd do double duty by filling in as the "Monsters" status quo for the sake of this year; and it would be a showcase of Universal looking to rely on their sub-companies within the corporation. Not to mention, I think it'd raise a considerable notice as a element of Nosferatu being the most "Commercialized" that a Robert Eggers film has been.

Pair it with the four Oscar nominations it has; and it has a lot of sense and logic for Halloween Horror Nights. It'd be on-par with Crimson Peak in a out there film that would tick a lot of boxes too, marking the first time in a long while where we've had someone to the level of a GDT being able to be at HHN through their works (yes, I am comparing Robert Eggers to GDT. I think he's earned it).

I second this. Nosferatu was the universal monsters success they have been trying to find for a long time. Critical + Commercial success. They could reuse a lot of sets/props from past Dracula castle themes too so could make the production much easier.

I don't think this is as big of a deal as some make it out to be.

Despite rumored houses sometimes changing drastically throughout the spec season, it seems pretty standard that all houses are secured for the event the prior year. It's mostly a matter of false information being weeded out.

There have been known instances of houses being dropped, but those seem to be more of an outlier than being par for the course.

There has been contention from a certain group that I will not mention, that seemed insistent that the lineup wasn't finalized until this month, which, lol.

I mean, glass houses. A lot of folks have very confidently asserted certain timelines or outcomes regarding a variety of USH projects and turned out to be very, very wrong.

Super late to this, but Poltergeist getting a second shot is welcome on my end. The first maze was decent but I think it could’ve been a little better if they took more creative liberties. I love the movie, think it’s scary as hell, and definitely up the alley for Horror Nights.

Again, I don’t think Wyatt Sicks is even happening. At this point, I don’t think WWE thinks that group in general is even happening lol. WrestleMania is coming up, their biggest show of the year, and they haven’t even been around to build for that, and they already missed the Royal Rumble. It doesn’t make marketable sense on either WWE or Universal’s end to market this attraction for characters that aren’t currently on screen or even talked about. It’d make sense for them to do a legendary character like The Undertaker again, who is famous even if he hasn’t been on TV in years (which he has though, just as recently as last month). I’m convinced at this point the maze would be mid because they haven’t been building the lore — it easily could be great, but not if there’s nothing to build from.

I think if the WWE is even happening, TT might actually make a lot of sense. From what it seems, Enter The Blumhouse was locked in seemingly early on; due to the efforts of work that was put on display.

I think TT also kind of needs a "IP Hook", a reason to get people to make the trek and voyage to the Backlot, beyond the gimmick of "Stepping off of the Tram". We saw this work seemingly really well with 2022 when they used NOPE/Jupiters Claim as part of the promotional backing for it. I think doing something similar, but for WWE might be a unique and fun way of doing it.

yeah I was doing some research on them and reading some reddit about them, seems like a lot of fans keep wondering about them of just flat out not liking them or understanding them
and they seem to be absent on a lot of stuff too.
( and other wrestlers avoiding to do stuff with them because of supernatural stuff)

I never knew much about them, and I was excited about them with their visuals. but seems like they are a big question mark right now
