I mean, HHN did a house on the Thing prequel many, many years ago and they seemed to do just fine. That movie flipped when it was released during the film’s run. We also can’t forget Dracula Untold! It will be fine.

If they’re really concerned they could always change it to the Universal Horror Hospital or something like that…or the Purge.

It's not going to bomb

First of all, please do not double post. Use the edit feature.

Second of all, while there are metrics and tracking used to gauge a film's performance at the box office before it comes out, they aren't always accurate (especially in the past few years). Put another way, you don't really have any idea if it'll bomb or not, and you haven't cited any figures or research pointing to that. I also wouldn't take another person's opinion of the movie so personally.

I mean, they built a "permanent" house based on Exorcist: Believer in Vegas well after that thing flopped. I think there are a lot of considerations when they partner with an IP, and box office results are not always at the top of the list.

RE was just announced today, so I doubt anything will drop today...but feels like we might have to wait until next Tuesday to hear more

There were dozen's of test screenings.... like A LOT of them lol

Tracking makes it seem like it'll do fine fwiw. Not Obsession or Backrooms levels but decent, around what Terrifier 3 did.

Yes but not because of that. I give the film 7/10 but most will rate it higher.

Agreed. It’s top 2 on my most anticipated houses.

I just want to clear it up — I am by no means hoping or expecting for Evil Dead Burn to bomb. I am a fan of the series.

I am merely saying that making an announcement after release is going to be tougher PR-wise if the movie flops. Universal probably wants to be safe here and just announce it ahead of time.
