I wouldn't say it's out of the question that this is a Dr. Who reference. Last year in Bill and Ted we had a Dr. Who reference and we've had one of the best house franchises based off a Buffy episode so I would say it's quite possible.

Spawning was a nod to X-Files and Bodycollectors to Buffy so who knows. Perhaps the weeping angels will become the face of the Graveyard maze and be the Bodycollectors, so to speak, of the "New Era." I'm down for that.
