Interestingly enough, even after my rant earlier, I'm pretty satisfied with the house lineup this year even though it's heavy towards IP's. Cabin is great because it offers the chance to see some really creative and gory stuff, and I really miss the gore--same can be said about Evil Dead. Werewolf is a classic so I'm biased to that one. Resident Evil, while not something I'm super familiar with (not a big video game fan), it's still something I can probably relate to more than Silent Hill, as I've seen parts of the movies on TV and they all look pretty cool. The Walking Dead was a given but I was more favorable to last year's house than most people so I can dig it.
And then we've got La Llorona which I've been dying to see since the rave reviews came from Hollywood, and sequels to LT and Havoc, which, although not as good as originals, are a bit better than IPs, and they are themed to two of my favorite houses ever. So I take it back, HHN may very well indeed step it up this year from last year.
