Halloween Horror Nights 30 (UOR) - Speculation & Rumors (2021)

As someone who has been following the spec thread on and off since early 2020, it feels so amazing to have some real news about the event! And so so thrilled they will actually be calling it HHN30, something we haven't had since 2016. Now the only question is will they be selling frequent fear/multi-night tickets, fingers crossed...

The online marketing has always been the event year, not the year of the event. It's always been the in-park merch that switches from event year to calendar year. Not sure if that will be the trend this year or not.

Just for this year, they could still put houses in Blue Man, SS22, SS33, F&F (proper or tent behind it), Fear Factor, or the other half of B79, without too much of a fuss.

I was thinking BMG Stage and FFL personally, especially now that AoV is dead.

I'm expecting next announcement to be BOGO tickets and have no clue as to when.

I'm also expecting our next announcement to be tickets.

I agree with other statements, we got our official announcement that HHN is even happening, dates, and Beetlejuice let's cool down everyone. No need to get crazy with random spec/guesses but also let's be kind to everyone we are all fans let's all come back to Earth lol and just be happy it is even happening. Breathe ya'll lol

They could set up a queue in the staging area outside the theater. There's about as much space as the MIB Tent. Then they could build out the house in the stage area which is roughly the same size as the tents. The rigs are already there for lighting and if FFL is gone permanently, they could demo the set and expand the stage area.

As for Beetlejuice, after seeing the house last year, they did well with but I honestly don’t see them adding much aside from the actors if it’s passable, the house looked pretty much done.

yeah I guess so, but I think that there is always room to improve. they might want to improve it even more because it seems like its going to be a headliner. It was announced first, so there will be a lot of built up hype around It, especially from fans of the musical.

The musical has nothing to do with the house, the house is strictly just the movie, even the announcement video has proven that as well, as for making room for improvement, the only improvement is just more scareactors and lessen the use of mannequins. The lighting and space look fine for what it is and I'm sure seeing how last year did, the house definitely worked well for a lot of people who experienced it.

What I meant when I mentioned the musical is that the fans of the musical will flock to the house since it's Beetlejuice content. Even on the two days that it was opened, I met a lot of people who were fans of the musical, but thats besides the point.

I could see them improving the ending, because it seemed to be quite abrupt and obviously unfinished. I definitely want to see less mannequins. Its probably going to be the interaction house of the year, so I hope that they make it more interactive. To be honest, I would be interested to see how SIF would work in the house, because you can pretty much see all the way down to the dining room when you are in Dante's Inferno. But I don't think this is a SIF year. Same thing with GATs, I would love for some GATs, but I dont think we will get any.

Marketing recognizes the connection to the musical. The title of the announcement video, “Say His Name,” is an obvious nod to one of the more popular songs in the show (“Say My Name”).

I’d expect any Beetlejuice marketing to attempt a coy double-meaning. There’s going be references to “Beautiful sounds,” “Being dead thing,” and, “Fright of their lives.” Those phrases are dog-whistles to fans of the musical.

I'm sure it'll bring fans of the musical to see the house and enjoy the movie as much as they do for the musical but seeing how the announcement came out especially the pics of the house featured on the main website, it doesn't look like nothing's change, granted we don't see the actors in the photos for obvious reasons, the space looks the same as it did when they tested it out last year. The ending I think was just made that way to get one last scare from Beetlejuice with his one-liners before exiting, I'm sure they probably had Lydia as well. Sif and GATs I could see be used but not for this house I don't think, possibly one of the originals.

It would be a hit if they made a show with Beetlejuice and put it in FFL but I think they wanna only keep Beetlejuice in the house, I'm sure he'll be active maybe on the streets if they are able to do it but seems unlikely unless to the public in the daytime.



Also I'll be honest the musical is not my favorite, not knocking on it but it's just not for me but I can understand the following it has to fans of the musical, I'm just a fan of the film and only that, so if there are references in the marketing of the house I could understand from the fans point of view but the house just strictly to the film and the stuff is just to me just sticking to the character of Beetlejuice from the film and not the musical.

Adding actors where they were already planned to be is not really plussing

If it was, we would be hearing plussing rumors for Brides and Tooth

Putting more actors in (where they were probably already planned to go) or turning on already planned effects is just bringing the house up to the standard of design they initially had in place

So, that leaves one to wonder, what is being plussed?

idk about Brides and Tooth, honestly I just don't see really a lot of big changes just little ones here and there for certain houses. If there is, there are obvious reasons for it. Beetlejuice is done, whether they switch out the mannequins and place the actors or keep it as is, the house is pretty much done. As for Brides and Tooth, it'd make sense they both get tweaked and it looks like the only thing getting plussed is sCarey it seems which is confusing with the space in the MIB tent, it would be interesting where the exit will be placed, mostly likely FFL.

Also to coincide with 30 Years 30 Fears being scrapped from this year, it looks like Universal is selling the icons banner and main banner from the tribute store in the prop shop, it makes sense for the last minute slogan which a lot of people have mixed feelings about.
