Any chance on tickets selling out? I’d like to save myself $300 and see if ROF w/express gets released but I don’t wanna lose my chance

They've never sold out before and right now there are no capacity restrictions.

Express & tours are a different story.

I’m just confused as to why everything has been this slow this year? If this is the normal ticket options that usually drop around April then why didn’t they drop in April? We already had a house announced at that point so they knew the event was happening.

Have the 6 house tours EVER been the same 3 houses?

The individual AM session and PM sessions might have overlap, but when you do the 6 house tour it's always been 6 different houses...if not more. We did a quick bonus tour of a 7th house once, snuck in the back door of AWIL for pics with the last puppet, snuck in to see facades of other houses without touring the whole thing, etc. Never had any duplicates.

In 2019, the 3 house tour had Monsters, Graveyard Games and Klowns. The 6 house tour Corpses, Nightingales, Stranger Things, Yeti and Ghostbusters. No crossover.
In past years, there were 6 houses that were available (except for alternates) and the 3 house tour just did 3 of those 6.

We’re having a full event. Who cares how slow the rollout is.

Had to make sure that cases would actually drop with vaccine rollout.

Planning, then cancelling, an event costs more than not starting an event at all.

I just believe they are being more cautious bc of covid. if there is any uptick in cases or anything to that regard. they dont want to have to pull out of an announcement. im sure they are still figuring out if they are going to have a full blown hhn event as in previous years or do some covid protocols?

That's been figured out. Whatever the answer is, it's been decided.

I mean I get that but they could of just refunded tickets like last year? And if they were waiting why announce BJ in March when they didn’t know if the Vaccs would work?

I am fairly certain "refunds" are exactly what they wanted to avoid.

They knew they were running an event so they could announce a house. Doesn't mean they knew the capacity they'd be running at at the time. And I highly doubt they wanted to deal with mass refunds again when they could simply wait.

Presumably, they did enough projection to know they’d be likely able to do something.

Also, if the stuff’s going to be announced (and we basically know the lineup) so this announcement schedule stuff shouldn’t matter much to us anyways.

Exactly. Companies DO NOT like to give money back once they've taken it in. Those books become a disaster.

As for why they announced Beet earlier without tickets? They wanted to assure everyone that the event was coming in the least disruptive way possible.

The last month before I was laid off, every phone agent took 100-150 calls a day doing nothing but refunding car rentals. The payroll alone was astounding, never mind the costs involved. Multiply that by an order of magnitude for Universal.

They eat the CC processing fee if you do a refund.
