I was so hyped for hhn and now this. I think plexiglass is a bad idea and it’s made me significantly less excited for the event, however I have been waiting for 2 years so I’m still looking forward to it because it’s hhn, but, I’m more excited for the social aspect of this year because I know the houses and zones won’t be scary with plexiglass and (I assume) no roaming actors. Just require everyone wear masks in the houses and be done with it.

Call Universal, ask if there’s going to be plexi. If they don’t have information available “at this moment” , state that if it is returning you will want a full refund and will not be attending. I’d personally mention that you were excited for the new masks this year too-wink wink-

I also want to add that if the cruise lines can bypass the Florida vaccine mandate ban, so can the theme parks, I just don’t think they want to put in the effort to do it

Selfish is thinking your own personal definition of liberties along with the 2 minutes of research you did on Facebook outweighs the health and safety of your community. Get the vaccine or get lost. It’s not some experiment, it’s a well tested and medically recommended shot that will help prevent more unnecessary deaths. Don’t try to switch the selfishness onto those who did their part and are now frustrated with those who didn’t.

Yea as much as I love the event bringing back plexi with legit no proof of it helping and really taking away from the scares on a anniversary year really sucks. Really rethinking buying FFP this year.

Wow, just came on and saw all of this. This news sucks, if true. I'll be canceling my plans and hotel. Thank god I didn't buy my multi night ticket yet. Universal is about to lose some customers with this one, like if the international travel ban wasn't enough. HOS here I come baby. Will be my first time missing an HHN aside from last year.

I can absolutely see plexiglass coming but I could also see them taking it out before the event even starts, my biggest concern is the actors double masking, I heard it was extremely hard for them last year

I get y’all are upset but this could be an overreaction. Wait until it is confirmed. I’ve talked to several scareactors that had rehearsals and they said no plexi was in the houses (yet).

Rumor or not, it's terrible news to hear imo. It most certainly is cancel worthy, if it's true. Brides and Tooth Fairy was very subpar in scares because of the plexiglass in my humble opinion. I couldn't imagine all ten houses like that, oooof, just give me my money back in that case.

I get that entirely. I’m just saying we shouldn’t be so hasty in canceling all our plans. We should wait to see if the rumors have any legitimacy to them. I don’t want to see anyone cancel their plans for HHN and then miss out on their vacation due to a rumor that turned out untrue.

I think for a lot of people it’s a way to show that they would be willing to cancel in maybe hopes universal would see? If plexi does happen I can’t imagine the number of complaints especially if we are gonna crowd theaters with little to no distancing. This just screams a huge mistake

Right, I’m more talking about the few people on here that actually seem like they are cancelling based on a rumor. Like, not threatening to cancel but just straight up canceled based on speculation.

like i said before in the vaccine thread, just be careful with the insults against antivaxx. many of my black and hispanic friends and Family fall into that. (people that might be reading this forum) just a heads up. be careful with who you criticize please, theres enough alienation towards them in the media. it is a complex subject for them. for minorities.

plexiglass will keep actors safe. safety matters more than a scare.

hhn is much more than scares, you have the sets, you have the decorations. you have the costumes. no need to cancel

i rather have plexiglass than nothing.

the sets will remain,
the actors will be there.
their costumes will be there.
the special effects will be there

I mean considering their news stance on masks (ie making them basically on the honor system), it’s clear they don’t care. They’re trying to appease both sides and being dangerous in the process

I recommend everyone to do this honestly in some degree. If they get enough backlash over a rumor/leak imagine what will happen with an actual announcement.
People, tell Universal this is not the route you want.
Why complain about it here when we should be marching to there doorstep and telling them that this isn't what we want and why.

Plexi is not only going to ruin our experience, but it makes it more dangerous for EVERYONE.

Also remember, it is only a rumor right now. I would wait to cancel any plans until you have official confirmation from Universal.
