Saw USH’s tweet about their Fan Fest Nights just now, and it got me thinking, what are the chances of a Dungeons & Dragons house? Never personally played but I know it’s a pretty big property, lots of horror content, and wasn’t there a movie recently too?

that movie was amazing

If the Fan Fest attraction is well received, I could see a branded HHN house at some point in the future... but at the same time, they may want to keep it to Fan Fest to avoid brand confusion (on both ends).

Yeah, I can’t tell if its presence at Fan Fest makes it more likely or less likely.

Even if it was something to bring up in the future, I'd likely see them wanting to accomplish their own style of D&D by making a new original, seeing past ideas like Hades & The Fallen that could be a good example that came to be, I'd love for another Fallen-style house.

a D&D house would help with advertising and merch, it would be great for the fandom and bring new fans to hhn,

Yeah they can do that but why not, instead of chasing the property that may or may not get the chance of coming when they can just go the originale route and have more to their chances of making another stellar house similar to that of both Hades and Fallen.

i understand what you mean but having d&d at the park would be such a milestone, would be so epic, a property that it's been entertaining players for more than 40 years, a property that has become such a cultural staple, so iconic in gaming and nerdy culture, it carries so much weight, so iconic,
it actually deserves a full ride, but a house could be so amazing, could have so many Easter eggs, ( recognizable characters or creatures) it could have the full soundtrack that midnight syndicate wrote for them ( in the queue and inside the house)

Is it true that they can't play MS anymore? What a damn shame, that soundtrack along with their stuff in general is awesome. The HHN 15 website was really my introduction to the horror genre and that D&D album was a big part of it.

Just curious, because I honestly don't know, but would it be anything other than putting the D&D name on a house similar to Dueling Dragons or Goblins Feast? I casually played D&D 30+ years ago, and there were no specific characters...just generic stuff like you encountered an elf/wizard/barbarian who has xyz stats, you roll a die, and see who wins. Would there be a way to make a house that resonates with the game that would be anything other than slapping D&D in the house name?

I know there was the movie, but I don't see that as something very horror related or worth paying up for all the IP rights. And fearing for how they'd feel compelled to force in a 20 sided die (or whatever it is) like a Raiders of the Lost Ark boulder in the house :)

This is a fair question, but it hasn't really stopped the Horror Nights teams from adapting the "official" version of IPs they've done their own loose takes on in the past. (The biggest/most obvious examples would be the unofficial use of movie characters in the All Night Die-In franchise, followed by actual licensed IP adaptations of Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc.)

Wait, what happened between HHN and Midnight Syndicate? Didn't they release an HHN 30-themed vinyl just a few years back?

I’m pretty sure D&D has some original characters and environments that could be a house. I think some of the Stranger Thing’s monsters are based on original D&D characters.

Another spec map already seems pretty fast.

...unless it's something else?

I agree it seems early for another spec map but I don’t see what else it could be. It will be interesting to see another spec map tho to see what changes r made.

I've heard midnight syndicate at the hhn store ( can't remember what year but not that long ago )
I didn't know there was a problem,

it could be similar to dueling dragons or feast and maybe a little bit genetic but I would still like to see it, specially the monsters,
